She was the wife of the late Edward A. Walos who died December 27, 1981. She was a member of St. John The Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church, and helped to make their famous pirohy.

Doris was born on April 2, 1928 to the late August and Dora Wise Bildhauser in Clairton Pa. After graduating from Clairton High School she attended the Business Institute of Pittsburgh. She spent her working years as a secretary for a Pittsburgh Law Firm and Ervin Works Industrial Engineering. Doris married her beloved husband Clarence Schweickert on July 2, 1949 and raised 3 beautiful children.
