Derek "DB" Betz, 35, of Greenock, passed away tragically on Tuesday, August 14, 2018. He was born February 13, 1983 in Pittsburgh and was the son of Sharon Betzner of Mississippi and Paul (JoAnn Politano) Betz of Elizabeth Township. Derek worked as a machinist for Vista Metals and loved his two precious fur babies, CiCi the cat and Maggie the dog. In addition to his mother and father, he is survived by a sister, Kaylee (Luis) Eveler of Louisiana, brother, Joshua P. Betz of Elizabeth Township, girlfriend, Jessica M. Barton Harvey "Bart" Caudill, 70, of McKeesport, died Monday, August 27, 2018. He was born August 18, 1948 in McKeesport and was the son of the late William Porterfield and Belva Frances Kauffman Caudill. Bart worked as a scheduler for Bechtel Bettis 40 plus years, and also owned and operated his own painting business, Bart's Quality Painting. He was a member of Park Baptist Church. He was a board member of The White Oak Athletic Association and went on to organize and coach basketball, softball and baseball. He ran the winter basketball program for 15 plus years, as well as officiated many high school basketball games in the area.

Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed her grandkids and great-grandkids, shopping outings at Grove City Outlets, playing Bingo, and her monthly lunches with her childhood girlfriends. She was born October 5, 1925 in LaFayette, Indiana and was the daughter of the late Theodore William and Jessie Lockard Davis. She was the wife of the late Theodore M. Frank who died in April 1974. Janet was a homemaker who loved to cook, sew, and was an avid crafter. She was a Girl Scout leader for several years, a member of The Elizabeth Township Senior Citizens, and was the past President of the former Mt. Vernon AARP, where she loved booking trips most notably to Ohio, New York and Branson, Missouri. She is survived by her daughter, Sandra L. John Townslan Hoak, 77, of Elizabeth Township, died Saturday, August 11, 2018 at home. He was born May 17, 1941 in McKeesport and was the son of the late Roderick and Martha (McLean) Hoak. John served as a Paratrooper for 2 years in the Army's 82nd Airborne Division. He spent most of his life being self-employed. His talents as a multi-skilled Craftsman led to being co-owner of Hoak Brothers, Inc., West Newton Lumber Co. , Yough Fuel and Energy and most recently Hoak Construction, Inc., building quality homes. His favorite pastime was enjoying adventures with his wife and grandchildren, especially involving travel. He was a mentor to many young men and was a member of the NRA. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Carol A. (Kite) Hoak. They were married June 13, 1964. He is also survived by his sons, John B. (Jessie Sedlock) Hoak and Jeffrey T. (Tabatha) Hoak of Elizabeth Township and Jason C. (Melissa Kelly) Hoak of Pittsburgh, sister, Martha Jane Donaldson of Buena Vista, grandchildren, Jeffrey (Alysa), Jacob, Randy, Jason, Ashley, and Julia, nieces and nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews, and many brother-in-laws, and sister-in-laws.

She had worked for Union Cleaner's in Elizabeth Township for 15 years and was a volunteer at McKeesport Hospital for 21 years. Michael Lee Nuttall, 45, of McKeesport, passed away surrounded by family on Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at home.
He was born in Jeannette and was the son of George R. and Patricia Ann Bodnar Nuttall of McKeesport. Michael worked as a carpet cleaner and maintenance for Mark of Excellence. He was a die-hard Steelers fan, who had a Steelers museum. He enjoyed working on and fixing cars in his spare time. He would do anything for anyone and never expected anything in return. Michael prided himself in being a provider and his family always came first.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife of 23 years, Beth Ann (Forsythe) Nuttall, two sons, Mike J. (Fiancée, Kayla) Nuttall, and Shane M. Nuttall, both of Sutersville, granddaughter, Annabella Nuttall, brother George Nuttall of McKeesport, sisters, Janet Nuttall of Monroeville and Helen Nuttall of North Versailles, father-in-law, Glen Forsythe of McKeesport, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and his dogs, Jojo and Jade and the late Bruno.
