He was born in McKeesport on August 18, 1955 to the late John C Ferrero and the surviving Dolores Tortorice Ferrero of Clairton. He is survived by his daughters; Tiara (Juan Butler) Snyder of McKeesport and Jessica (Skylar Brown) Ferrero of Clairton, grandchildren; Josiah, Kai, Taier, Skylar, Carter and Rylan, brothers; Gary Ferrero of South-side, Pittsburgh and David Ferrero of Clairton and sister Francine Ferrero of Las Vegas, NV. John was preceded in death by his father, John “Punky” Ferrero. John through the years was self-employed. He owned and ran Ferrero’s Beer Distributer in Large, PA, and later in life enjoyed running the Coal Valley Produce stand. He was a man that loved his family, his friends and all of the customers that gave him a reason to be in business over the years. Family and friends will be received on Tuesday June 4th from 3-7 at S.M. FINNEY FUNERAL HOME, 432 N. 6th St, Clairton, PA 15025. A service will immediately follow visitation. Stephen V. Gribschaw, 92, passed away May 29, 2019. He was born in Glassport, Allegheny County, PA on December 23, 1926 to the late John and Anna Novotniak Gribschaw of Glassport, PA. He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Theresa Josephine Walczak Gribschaw, his brothers and sisters: Ernest Gribschaw, Albert Gribschaw, Andrew Gribschaw, John Gribschaw, Marie Danko, and Cecilia Maher, by his daughter Ann Marie Fiore Soltis, and his grandchildren, Beth Ann Gribschaw and Stephen Michael Gribschaw. Stephen is survived by his children, Stephen Gribschaw, Teresa Day, Gregory Gribschaw, Mary K. Traud, and Stanley Gribschaw, his sister and brother: Celine “Alberta” Christensen, and Raymond Gribschaw. In addition, he leaves behind 16 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Stephen was an active member of Queen of the Rosary Catholic Church in Glassport, PA. He participated in the Holy Name Society, the Counter group and was considered one of the favorite bingo callers. He was a member of the Greek Catholic Union Lodge 500, the Knights of Columbus Post 4210, the American Legion Post 443, and the United Steelworkers Local of America Union 1407 serving as a committeeman, treasurer, trustee and recording secretary. He was also a bingo caller at the American Legion Post 443 in Glassport. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy during World War II, serving in the Pacific Theater of Operations at the US Naval Ship Repair Facility at Subic Bay in the Philippines, serving as Yeoman for the Base Commander. He was a member of the Subic Bay Association WWII Navy Veterans. Stephen loved to travel and enjoyed traveling with Theresa, visiting all fifty states in the U.S. Stephen was a hardworking man and supported his wife and children. Stephen worked at the United States Glass company and the Copperweld BiMetallics Division in Glassport until the plant shut down in 1983. Stephen was an active participant in the Ginkgo Evaluation of Memory Study (GEMS) and other studies at the University of Pittsburgh. He was a wonderful storyteller and loved to share jokes and anecdotes with everyone. He is greatly missed. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Queen of the Rosary Church in Glassport PA on Tuesday, June 4th at 10am. Visitation will be held at Wojciechowski’s Funeral Home in Glassport on Monday, June 3rd from 2-4 and 6-8. His final resting place will be at Corpus Christi Cemetery in Port Vue, PA. Domenico Consales, 89, of White Oak, died Monday, May 27, 2019.  He emigrated in 1963 from his birthplace of Mondragone, Italy, where he was born on March 14, 1930.  He was the oldest offspring and only son of the late Salvatore Consales and Matilde Del Prete.  

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Michelina (d'Aiello) Consales and daughter Matilde of White Oak.  He is also survived by sisters; Vittoria Consales of Rome, Italy, and Maria Consales of Caserta, Italy, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.  He was preceded in death by his sister, Carmela.  

In Italy, he worked in agriculture with his family from a very young age, and for many years.  In the United States, he began working in shipping and packing for Berarducci Brothers.  He was a welder at Reliance Steel in Christy Park, a machinist for Westinghouse Airbrake, and a guard at Kane in McKeesport.

He was a member of St. Angela Merici Church.  He was known for being a very strong-willed, anxious, independent, neat, organized, and frugal man.  He told many stories of his beloved Italy.  He loved to walk, read, sunbathe, garden, and bake bread, all while being very much a homebody.  He could build or fix anything for the home from scratch, often with impressive detail.  He enjoyed desserts and Italian music.  He was a devoted husband and dedicated father.  He was a thoughtful brother, and caring and affectionate uncle who loved talking to and being with his family.  

Friends and family will be received at Strifflers of White Oak Cremation and Mortuary Services, 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA 15131 (412-678-6177) on Saturday, June 1, 2019 from 10:00am until 12:00pm.  A mass of Christian burial will follow at St. Angela Merici church, 1640 Fawcett Avenue, White Oak, PA 15131 at 12:30pm. Entombment will follow.

She had a rich and fulfilling life and was very happy there. She had many friends and participated in all the activities. Matta, Sr, who passed away July 18, 2007. Margaret was born  March 4, 1925 in McKeesport and was the daughter of the late Charles and Margaret (Dobransky) Wargo. She was an amazing person who truly lived for her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She loved us all unconditionally and made each of us feel special and important. She will be remembered as a wonderfully creative and dedicated homemaker who loved her family deeply and gave so much of herself to everyone she cared about. During WWII, she aided the war effort by working at the US Steel Christy Park Works in McKeesport that were converted to produce Ammunition Shells. Dorothy Tylavsky, 89, of North Huntingdon, passed away Wednesday, May 22, 2019 at Walden's View, North Huntingdon.  She was born August 23, 1929 in North Braddock, a daughter of the late Ray and Helen Dedo Miller.  Dorothy was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Irwin and enjoyed shopping for clothes and visiting casinos.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lester N. Tylavsky; and brother, Raymond Miller.  She is survived by her sister, Beatrice Simon and her husband, Albert; and numerous nieces and nephews.  Friends will be received at the James W. Zerbe, 38, formerly of North Huntingdon, passed away Tuesday, May 14, 2019 at Excela Health Westmoreland.  She was born September 7, 1980 in West Chester, Pa., a daughter of Nancy Lynn Zerbe and the late Joseph P. Zerbe Jr.  Jeanetta was a 1999 graduate of Norwin Senior High school and employed by Jaffrey's Restaurant.  She was a member of Circleville United Methodist Church and enjoyed spending time with her son, Tyrone and crocheting.  She was preceded in death by her sister, Jada Zerbe.  She is survived by her son, Tyrone Zerbe; and brothers, Joseph, Jason and Benjamin Zerbe.  Friends will be received at the James W. Frankie was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church, a graduate of the McKeesport Area High School, and a graduate of Triangle Tech, where he earned an Associate degree; He also proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War Era.  Frankie had a great sense of humor and loved to joke around.  He was an avid fisherman, enjoyed traveling and gardening--both vegetables and flowers, worked as a jitney driver, and also served as an Advocate for Narcotic Anonymous at the Harrison Village Recreation Center.  Frank worked as a Laundry Supervisor for VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System Highland Drive.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Leslie C. Truesdale of McKeesport;  daughter, Sharese N. Joan Kemp Beissel passed away on May 7, 2019, at the age of 89. A lifelong resident of Elizabeth Township, she was born January 18, 1930, to the late Thomas and Mary Moore Dierker Kemp. She was predeceased by her husband of 65 years, Donald E. Beissel, her twin sister, Jean Matezik, and her brother, Thomas Kemp. She is survived by her two daughters, Vickee Altman, and her husband Gary, of Uniontown, and Wendee Lindsey and her husband Randy of Elizabeth Township and her three grandchildren, Alan Lindsey, and wife Brittany, of Liberty Boro, Stephanie Altman of Raleigh, NC., and Abigail Altman of Baltimore, MD. 

She graduated from Clairton High School in 1947 and attended the Allegheny General Hospital School of Nursing where she obtained her license as a registered nurse. She completed her nursing education with a BSN from California University of Pennsylvania. She worked as a registered nurse at the McKeesport Hospital in the premature infant nursery, but perhaps is best remembered for her many years as a school nurse for the Elizabeth-Forward School District.

She and her husband Don enjoyed retirement by hosting pig roasts for their family and friends at their backyard swimming pool and by traveling throughout North America in their motor home, sometimes even wintering in southern climates. They also traveled to such places as Hawaii, Italy, England, Mexico and the Caribbean. A highlight was sailing through the Panama Canal.

Family and friends will be received at the S.M. FINNEY FUNERAL HOME, 432 N. 6thStreet, Clairton, PA, 15025, on Friday, May 10, from 2 – 4 PM and 6 – 8 PM, a short memorial service will be held at 7:30pm with a repose to follow at the LochMon Tavern, 2510 Lincoln Boulevard, Elizabeth, PA., 15037. Andre Randolph Hopkins was born on November 8, 1975, in McKeesport, PA.  He was the eldest of four sons born to the late Juanita C. Hopkins Edmond.  He was called home on Friday, May 3, 2019, at UPMC East Hospital in Monroeville, PA.

Andre was born a special needs child and the doctors said he would not live beyond three years. But God saw differently; we were blessed to have him in our lives for 43 years.

Andre had a love for all people.  He attended church and was especially fond of praise & worship.  He loved going to his day program where he enjoyed working with his hands; but not so much in the last six months.

Andre was an organ donor and at least five recipients will be blessed because of his unselfish Act of Love.
