FRANCIS W. "BRAZ" BREZNAY age 84, of Duquesne, on July 3, 2018 at home. He was a son of the late Steve and Anna (Kish) Breznay. Braz was a retired boilermaker at US Steel Duquesne Works with 34 years service. He was a member of Holy Trinity Church, West Mifflin, and was a past president of their Men's Club. He served on Parish Council, volunteered at Children's Hospital, volunteered with Meals On Wheels, and co-chaired the 100th anniversary of Holy Trinity Church. He proudly served in the army; he was stationed in Germany where he was awarded the Guardian of the Outpost of Democracy, serving in the 6th Infantry Regiment. He was also a valued employee of the Maloy-Schleifer Funeral Home for over 15 years. He also enjoyed golfing and fishing. Beloved husband of 59 years to Jane (Bitkowski) Breznay; father of Cindy (late Duane P.) Rosemary A. (Curran) Denne age 90, of Duquesne, on June 27, 2018, surrounded by her children as they prayed and sang her favorite hymns of praise, entered eternal life to be with her Lord and Savior, at UPMC Mercy. She was the daughter of the late Dr. Thomas & Ann (Malone) Curran. Rosemary was the former treasurer of the City of Duquesne, succeeding her husband after his death. She was a certified tax collector; a member of St. Joseph Church, Duquesne, and member of their former school PTG, GFWC Women’s Club of Duquesne, Democratic Women’s Club, board member of the Duquesne-West Mifflin Boys & Girls Club, 2003 YWCA Women of Achievement Honoree, member of the CLW/St. Joseph’s Church Women’s Focus Group, and volunteer at the Duquesne Elementary School until her death. Jeanne Rae (Rogers) MacDougall, a resident of Wilmington, Vermont passed away December 17, 2017 at her home. Jeanne was born in McKeesport, PA on May 7, 1942 the daughter of the late George and Jessie (Black) Rodgers. Jeanne was preceded in death by her late husband, Alan Miles MacDougall and her parents. She attended McKeesport High School and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Business from the University of Pittsburgh. Upon graduation, Jeanne worked for the United States State Department in Washington DC and retired to Wilmington VT. She was very civically involved in Wilmington helping the Deerfield Valley Food Pantry, Friends of Historic Memorial Hall, a member of the Brattleboro Woman’s Chorus, and attended her beloved St. Mary’s In-The-Mountains Episcopal Church. Jeanne was a world traveler, was a renowned instructor in Scottish Highland Country Dancing, and loved all things Scottish. She is survived by cousins Linda Eminson and her husband Thomas and their daughter Dawn Svor all of Round Rock, TX, Agnus Oskin of North Huntington, Alvin Oskin of Jeanette, Diana Scott of White Oak, James Orr of Murrysville and other cousins in Ohio, Florida, Washington State and Pennsylvania. A committal service for Jeanne will be held on June 9h at 11:00 AM at McKeesport-Versailles Cemetery.

Doris “Dee Dee” Hamilton, age 63 of Duquesne, Pennsylvania, passed away on Saturday, June 2, 2018. She was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on July 11, 1954, one of six children of Donald H. and Mary Lou (Ray) Hamilton. Dee Dee was an active member of the Duquesne Family Support Center and an avid volunteer and supporter of Duquesne youth athletics.
She was preceded in death by her parents and is survived by her 10 children, Daniel Hamilton, Glen Hamilton, Olive (Scott Hatten) Hamilton, Kevin Hamilton, Derrick Hamilton, Amanda Davis, Crystal Smith, Meredith Smith, Victoria Smith and Donnie Smith; 30 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren and 5 siblings, Patricia Leatherwood, Donald A. IRENE E. DENNE age 85, of Connellsville, formerly of Duquesne, at the home of her daughter, Sharon. An earthly angel gained her Heavenly wings on May 19, 2018, when Irene Denne passed through Heaven's Gates. She was a daughter of the late Walter and Stella (Blaczyewska) Balawajder. Irene was a wonderful and loving wife and mother. She loved and cherished her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her family was her greatest joy in life. Irene always thought of others and would brighten the day of others by sending cards. She also enjoyed feeding birds every morning from the back porch. Irene will be sadly missed but fondly remembered. She loved listening to Polka Party every Sunday morning and enjoyed watching the Pittsburgh Penguins. She was devoted to the Blessed Virgin Mary and prayed the Rosary daily for those in need. Beloved wife of the late Bernard T.
