Thomas J. Suwala, of North Huntingdon, passed away suddenly Tuesday, January 18, 2022. He was born in Pittsburgh on July 7, 1942. Survived by his wife Patricia Suwala, daughter Kimberly M. Joseph (her husband Chris M. Joseph), son Paul Suwala (deceased) grandchildren Brooke L. Yow (husband Michael Yow), Troy A. Joseph (wife Brianna Joseph) and great-grandchild Kaia N. Yow. His sisters Dolores Damski (husband Robert Damski, deseased), Diane Bonesio (husband Angelo Bonesio). He was retired from his profession leading sales efforts across several national companies. He loved his family and spending time with his grandchildren. He enjoyed spending weekend days polishing and taking care of his cars. There will be no visitation. Arrangements made by the James W. William C. Schneck, 63, of Irwin passed away Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at Forbes Regional Hospital. He was born March 23, 1958 in Johnstown, son of Shirley (Commers) Holcomb and the late George Schneck. William was a scheduler for Home Healthcare and a member of Calvary Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and spending time with his children. He is survived by son, Liam; daughter, Eliana; brother, Mark Schneck and his wife, Blythe; nieces, Savannah and Gabriella; and nephew, Tanner. There will be no visitation. Frederick Joseph Greiner, 84 of Glassport, passed away on Monday, January 17, 2022, at Havencrest Nursing Home. He was born in McKeesport on June 17, 1937, to the late Joseph and Lillian (Coddington) Greiner. Frederick was the loving husband of over 40 years to the late Grace (Warnick) Greiner. He is survived by his sons Joseph and Michael (Jennifer Ralston) Greiner, both of Glassport. Further survivors include brothers William (Maureen) Greiner of Floreffe and Edward Greiner of Florida, and sisters Dolly (Ken) Rosier of Liberty Borough and Rosie (Pat) Trayer of North Huntingdon. Additional survivors include grandchildren Crystal, Justin, Brandon (Felicia Sharbaugh), Brian, and Lillian, as well as great grandchildren Spencer, Bailey, Hunter, Paige, Naveah, and Serenity. Frederick was preceded in death by his parents, wife Grace, brother Robert, sisters Diane Greiner and Debra, and his son David Greiner. Arrangements have been entrusted to E.C. Quang Minh Ngo, age 71, of Duquesne, passed away on Wednesday, January 19, 2022, at home. Born in Vietnam on August 2, 1950, he is the son of Nguyen Thi Lai of Vietnam. He was a tailor and dry cleaner and owned Sam’s Tailor Shop in Duquesne and Ritzland Cleaners in Penn Hills. He was a member of Chua Vien Quang Vietnamese Buddhist Temple, in Homestead. He liked to play the slots in Atlantic City and liked all Pittsburgh sports, especially the Steelers. He is the husband of Lan Thi Ngo of Duquesne; father of Kim Lee Ngo of Duquesne and Dan Minh Ngo of Irwin; and has 3 brothers and 2 sisters in Vietnam. There will be no visitation. Lila M. Zacur Ferris, 97, of N. Huntingdon, passed away Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at The Grove of Irwin from Covid-related symptoms.  Born 1924 in her beloved home town of Latrobe, PA, Lila was preceded in death by her parents, Alec and Sarah (Khoury) Zacur, husband, Elias Ferris, daughter, Jennifer Sarah Ferris, and her siblings, John Zacur, George Zacur, Margaret Newmeyer, Mary Olson, Iva Lipinski and Jennie Shirley.  She is survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  For many years prior to her marriage and subsequent move to Houtzdale, PA, Lila lived and worked in Latrobe.  During WWII, she worked at American Cyanamid (Cap Works), then at Torris’s Drug Store with her sister, Jennie, plus owned and operated Zacur’s Confectionary on Ridge Avenue.  There will be no visitation and services are private.  Arrangements made by the James W. Donald A. Palm, 94, of Forest Hill, MD, formerly of N. Huntingdon, passed away Friday, January 14, 2022 in Forest Hill Heights, Forest Hill, MD. He was born October 27, 1927 in McKeesport, son of the late Edwin G. and Mabel (Piper) Palm. Prior to his retirement, Don was a nuclear engineer for Westinghouse and a veteran of the US Army Air Force, having served during the Korean War Era.

Over the past 30 years, Don was a dutiful caregiver to several family members, and especially to his wife, Patricia. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Huey Palm, his sister Joan (Palm) Kenders, and brothers Dale, Eugene, and Robert. He is survived by his daughter, Tracie Ulmes and her husband, Kevin; grandchildren, Abby and Patrick; and brother Gary and his wife, Darlene.

Samuel G. Coccia, Sr., age 81, of Elizabeth Twp., formerly of McKeesport, died January 17, 2022, at UPMC East Hospital. Born September 7, 1940, in McKeesport, he was the son of the late Larry, Sr., and Scolastica Rose (Phillips) Coccia and the husband of the late Carol J. (Heveker) Coccia.

Sam was owner-operator of Larry's Hotel, serving the McKeesport community for over 58 years, where he was inducted into the Bartender Hall of Fame. He was a US Army veteran serving during the Korean War. Sam was a former member of the former St. Perpetua Church of McKeesport. He was also a member of the McKeesport Area Tavern Association. Sam sponsored Larry's Hotel Softball Team, which won the 2012 Class E Global Softball League World Champs, along with sponsoring many other local youth sports teams. He was an avid Steelers football fan and enjoyed all sports. Sam and his beloved wife loved to travel and shared 52 trips to Las Vegas together.

Further survivors include nieces Melissa Cerqua and Danielle (Matthew) Jellison, great nieces Christina and Michelle, great nephews A.J., Jacob, Ryan, Jackson, and Tyler, as well as her beloved dog Lucky. Nancy was preceded in death by her father Emo. She was a member of the St. Clare of Assisi Roman Catholic Church and enjoyed the Pittsburgh Pirates, knitting, baking, and completing crossword puzzles. David Felix Monyok, 70, of Irwin, passed away peacefully in his home, Monday, January 17, 2022.  David was born January 28, 1951 at Mercy Hospital, Pittsburgh to Paul and Josephine (Parlak) Monyok.  David worked at Medical Wellness Associates for 23 years as Inventory Coordinator and enjoyed being part of the team.  David and Kimi were married 37 years.  David was a loving husband and a caring, wonderful father and we will remember him as our "fun loving guy!".  David is survived by his wife, Kimi Roehling-Monyok; two daughters, Madison (Michael) Kowalski and Elizabeth (Joshua) Lofstrom.  He was blessed with three grandchildren, Maison, Elliot and Teagan that were the joy of his life; and his two canine companions, Emma and Darby.  Also surviving are David's brother, Paul (Mariann) Monyok and family of Munhall; and sister, Anita (Chuck) Ruggles and family of Grover Beach, CA.
