Donna L. Egenlauf, age 88, of Port Vue, died November 24, 2021, at UPMC McKeesport. Born July 4, 1933, in Irwin, she was the daughter of the late Cloyd Carothers and Anna Newmeyer and the wife of the late Michael A. Egenlauf.
Donna retired from the Hamilton Hills Personal Care, where she worked as a CNA for many years. She also worked at the former Eastland Mall in the Public Relations Department. She was also known as "The lady who ran the Train," loving all the kids that came to ride. She was a former member of both the Liberty Presbyterian Church and Linway United Presbyterian Church. Donna enjoyed camping and baking. Although, her greatest joy was spending time with her family and hosting family parties. Her motto was always, "the more, the merrier!"
Donna is survived by her children, Michael F. Egenlauf of Glassport, Roy A. Egenlauf of McKeesport, Maryann Hornfeck of Port Vue, Gary J. (Annette) Egenlauf of Weirton, WV, Darlene (Roach) Richel of Port Vue, James (Kimberly) Egenlauf of North Versailles, Connie (Randy) Quiggle of Port Vue; many grandchildren; great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; also many nieces and nephews.

Robert C. Large, 86 of Uniontown, formerly of Large, passed away on Tuesday, November 23, 2021, at Uniontown Hospital. Bob was born in Large, PA on February 27, 1935, to the late Thomas and Margaret Wallace Large. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Samuel, Austin, Harry, and Thomas. Robert is survived by his sister Margaret Beam of Jefferson, his niece Shirley Rhodes, many nieces and nephews, and also his best friend Bernie Hornsby.
He was a former member of Lebanon Presbyterian Church where he sang in the choir and later joined the New Beginnings Covenant Church in Uniontown.
Even though Robert lived with the effects of polio for 66 years, he persevered to have a full and active life. He worked many jobs including as the night manager of the Three Rivers Bank. Traveling and showing his horses was the hobby he loved most. He was a member of the PA Appaloosa Club, PA Quarter Horse Association, and the Tri-State Quarter Horse Association.
In later years, he was the entertainment organizer for his senior residence. Planning holiday events and many fun parties to brighten the days and encourage fellowship was a pleasure for him.
Arrangements have been entrusted to S.M. Finney Funeral Home, 432 N. 6th Street, Clairton, PA 15025, with a private service to be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the New Beginnings Covenant Church at 171 Connellsville St., Uniontown, PA 15401. Frank Henry Carney, 80, of North Huntingdon, passed away Thursday, November 25, 2021 at his home.  He was born, February 3, 1941 in Pittsburgh, a son of the late Walter and Lillian E. (Hawley) Carney.  Prior to his retirement, Frank worked for Mesta Machine Co., was the owner and operator of Frank Carney Construction and a veteran of the US Navy.  He was a graduate of Turtle Creek Sr. High School Class of 1959, life member of Hartford Heights VFD, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, traveling and loved his furry friend, Fergie.  In addition to his parents, Frank was preceded in death by his brother, Ralph Gigglio.  He is survived by his loving wife, Donna (Schmidt) Carney; son, Frank W. Carney; daughter, Tonya Tucker; sisters, Carol (Arnie) Levine, Bobbie Pomykayla, Darlene Loeffler; grandchildren, Brandon, Ashley, Nathan, Natasha, Mikaela; and six great-grandchildren.  Friends will be received from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. on Sunday at the James W. Mildred J. Pastor (Potoma), of Penn Township, PA, formerly of Irwin and McKeesport, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family in Forbes Hospital on Wednesday, November 24, 2021, when God decided it was time for the sweetest woman on earth to bring her light to heaven. Born November 26, 1935, in McKeesport, she was a daughter of the late Peter and Anna (Brendza) Potoma. A retired Messenger Escort for McKeesport Hospital, and a member of the Teamsters Union 205, she was a parishioner of St. Agnes Parish where she celebrated her strong faith in God. “Millie” was an avid reader, loved playing cards, watching her game shows, especially Jeopardy, where she rarely missed a question, going to the casino, and above all spending time with her family. Prior to his death, she and her husband enjoyed spending time at their camp in Tionesta, fishing and enjoying the outdoors. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 65 years, Ronald J Pastor, who passed away on March 23, 2020, and her 3 older sisters: Mary Mayernik, Helen Crammer, and Irene Casper. She will be dearly missed by her children; sons Robert (Kathy) Pastor, and Daniel (Lisa) Pastor, and daughters, Rhonda (Patrick) Quinlan, Marianne (Tom) Simko, and Sherry (Kevin) Kozlowski. Grandchildren, Emily, Josh, Joseph, Anthony, Christine, Jennifer, Tommy, Drake, Grant, Michael, and Steven, and 11 great-grandchildren, brother-in-law Jack (Evelyn) Pastor, nieces, and nephews. Paul C. Cmar, age 92, of Duquesne, passed away on November 23, 2021. Paul was born on March 18, 1929 in Hostetter, PA.  He was the son of John and Mary Cmar, graduating from Latrobe High School in 1947.  Paul was preceeded in death by his loving wife of 61 years, Marie Yarosik, son Richard (Sherri), brothers and sisters-in-law Joseph (Mildred), John (Sally), Andrew (Gloria), and Francis (Orselena).  He is survived by three sons, Dennis (Janice), David (Tracy), and Robert (Patricia).   Paul and Marie had twelve grandchildren, Kristen (Daryl Hull), Lesleigh, Robert (Petya), Michael (Angela), Jeffrey (Hallie), Alexandria, David, Emily, Richard (Paige), Samantha, Nicholas, and Nicole.  Nine great-grandchildren include Teagan and Maggie Hull, Val, Liam, Kia, Oliver, Theodore, Lillian, and Penelope Cmar.  Paul was a member of the US Army, serving as a Military Police Officer in post World War II Germany.  Following his service, Paul joined the Duquesne City Police Department, where he rose to the rank of Chief of Police.  Upon retiring from the police force, he concluded his career by working in Security for US Steel and McKeesport Hospital.  Paul was a devoted member of the Fraternal Order of Police.  He served many years as a Board Member and later as Treasurer of FOP Lodge #91. He served as Secretary-Treasurer for the Third Class Cities Group of the Pennsylvania FOP and was elected in 1979 as Pennsylvania’s Representative to the FOP’s National Board of Trustees.  He was a Life Member of the Allegheny County Chiefs of Police Association, a member of the Pennsylvania Retired Police Association, and a graduate of the Pennsylvania State Police Academy in Hershey, PA.  Paul was a Life Member of VFW Post #188 (Duquesne) and a Life Member of the Knights of Columbus #4210.   He was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Parish, where he served as an Usher and was a member of the Holy Trinity Men’s Club.  He was also a member of the Duquesne GBU, the Duquesne Croation Club, and the McKeesport 11th Ward Club.  Paul was a devoted Husband, Father, Grandfather, and Great Grandfather to his family, who loved him dearly.  Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 27 and Sunday, November 28, 2021 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., at the WILLAIM S. SKOVRANKO MEMORIAL HOME, 828 Richford Street, Duquesne, 412-466-8555, where a Blessing Service will take place on Monday, November 29, 2021, at 9:30 a.m., followed by a concelebrated Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m., at Holy Trinity Church, West Mifflin, of St. Thomas the Apostle Parish, with the Reverend Larry Adams as Principal Celebrant.  Burial will follow at Holy Trinity Cemetery, West Mifflin, with Military Honors.  Please follow the COVID-19 safety guidelines and wear a mask if you are unvaccinated.

Arthur Pletchy, age 69, of Duquesne, died November 17, 2021, at home. Born March 28, 1952, he was the son of the late Michael and Dorothy (Johnson) Pletchy.
Art retired from LP Aero Plastics and worked at the former Homestead Mill in his younger days. He was a collector of antiques and had his own booth set up at the Lincoln Hwy Hub. Art loved to listen to his oldies records and was very fond of cats.
Art is survived by his daughter, Deanna (Aaron) Smoker; grandsons, Anthony Pletchy and Dylan (Emily Brink) Patchin; former wife, Laura (John Spudic) Kauffman; mother-in-law, Jerry Kauffman; cousin, Michelle Coffman, and Mrs. Dottie Black, and her family.
Family and friends will be received at Jaycox-Jaworski Funeral Home & Crematory on Sunday, November 28, 2021, from 1 to 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. until the time of service at 7 p.m in the funeral home chapel.

Angelo P. Sgroi, age 87 of Clairton, passed away on Wednesday, November 24, 2021 in the VA Hospital, Oakland.  Born January 27, 1934 in Clairton, he was the son of the late John & Vittoria (Polimeni) Sgroi.  A US Army Veteran of the Korean War and a member of the Triumph of the Holy Cross Parish, St. Clare of Assisi Church, Angelo wore many hats in his lifetime but enjoyed driving truck over the road most of all.  He retired from GNC in his 70's, but continued driving occasionally for Uber & Lyft until recently.  He was a huge Pittsburgh Steelers fan, but more importantly a very generous and loving man whom everyone knew as "Uncle".  Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings: Katie, Mary, James, Sam, John, Nick, Tony, Lou and Phillip, as well as several nieces and nephews.  His is survived by his Godchildren Angelia (Dusk Olson) Christina and Greg (Lisa) Nesterak, nieces, nephews; dear friends who loved him; and his faithful canine companion Edgar.
