We are sad to announce the passing of Rodney Carmen Juarez on Monday, October 4, 2021. Rod was born in McKeesport on July 23, 1950 to parents Santos and Shirley Abels Juarez. He leaves behind wife Alexandria, son Jason (Jayne) Juarez of Dallas, Georgia, granddaughter Zoe, sister Sona (Thomas) Madera of Dravosburg, and brother Rendell Juarez of Dravosburg. He was preceded in death by parents Shirley and Santos, as well as his brother Kim Gumbert. Rod took great pride in his military service as an M.P. stationed in Danang, and his time as a counselor at Shuman. Arrangements have been entrusted to I.M FINNEY FUNERAL HOME, 203 4th St, Dravosburg, PA 15034. James E. "Jim" McDermitt, 74, of Duquesne, died peacefully on Monday, October 4, 2021, in UPMC McKeesport. Born in Duquesne, January 21, 1947, he was the son of the late William Earl and Agnes (Kamacher) McDermitt. Mr. McDermitt was a self employed handi-man. Beloved husband of the late Mary Elizabeth (Yarnall) McDermitt, he is survived by a son, Stephen McDermitt, two daughters, Dana (Bill) Ferrier and Erin Jenkins, three grandchildren, Scott Jenkins Jr., Hannah Jenkins and A.J. Ferrier, and a sister, Nancy Kuchma. In addition to his parents and beloved wife, he was also preceded in death by two sisters, Joyce Bedzik and Diane Yurchinson and a grandson, Luke Jenkins.

Daughter of the late Raymond H. and Madeline (Travers) McCall.  Loving mother of Stacey (Gene) Salvio, William Conard, Jeremy (Dawn) Conard, and Joseph (Kristi) Conard.  Dear grandmother of Alissa Barron-Moffa, Jordan Salvio, Ashli Barron, Samantha Salvio, Alexa Barron, Giavonna Salvio, Nico Salvio, Mary Ellen Conard, Samantha Conard, and Dylan Shellman.  Sister of Freida (Terry) McCall, and the late Patricia Deavers, Joanne Irwin, and Frederick J. McCall.  Step sister of Dan Brinkman and Ken Brinkman. Loving companion of 28 years to Emil “Hummy” Zimmerman.  Niece of Thelma Mehaffey.  Dear Best friend of Jeri Greenaway for over 50 years. 

Darlene worked at Precise Technologies for 28 years and retired from Crisp Control Corp in Irwin.  Darlene enjoyed and loved her little dog Shadow and all the dogs in the neighborhood.  She always had a treat ready for them when they came by.  Darlene was a home body who loved her flower garden and bird watching.  She always said I love my home and would not go on vacation.  She was a member of Evangelical Congregational Church in McKeesport.

Marion (Di Agostino) Kirk, 92, of Wilmerding passed away on September 30, 2021 at Independence Court, Monroeville.  She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert (Bob) Kirk.  She was a retired secretary to the President of the Westinghouse Airbrake Co., Wilmerding and was a member of St. Jude the Apostle Parish in Wilmerding.

Marion was born on May 23, 1929 in Wilmerding.  She was the daughter of the late Carmine (Frank) and Flora Di Agostino.  She is survived by her son, Robert (Bob) F. Kirk (wife Andrea) of Parker, TX; her daughter, Linda L. Kirk of Wilmerding; two grandsons, Joshua and Matthew; great-granddaughter, Emily; her faithful dog, Kenzie; her sister, Marlene Kent (husband Dennis) of Orlando, FL; her brother, Ralph Di Agostino (wife Joan) of Melrose, MA; brother, Frank Di Agostino of Monroeville; brother-in-law, Leo Kirk (wife Patricia) of Lynchburg, VA; nieces and nephews.

She was a longtime bridal shop consultant and also owner of MarWin Bridal along with her late husband William E. Winwood Jr. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, Irwin. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her son Mark Edward Winwood. She is survived by her son Russ Winwood and his wife Karen of North Huntingdon; her daughter in law Roberta Winwood of Greensburg; her grandchildren Jason (Jaime) Winwood, Jon (Kelly) Winwood, and Jamie (Anthony) McKee; and four great grandchildren.

He was born in Pittsburgh on March 24, 1973, to the late Daniel Albert Giel and Marie Frances Brenning Giel of Elizabeth. Andrew was the loving partner to Amber Black. He is survived by his girlfriend Amber and their son Andrew Lloyd Giel. He is survived by his brothers Dennis (Jayme) Giel of Elizabeth and Daniel Giel of Elizabeth, as well as his mother Marie. He is further survived by his beloved dogs Mr. Goring, Roscoe, and Heidi. Andrew was preceded in death by his father Daniel. He was a member of the Marine Corps. Family and friends will be received on Saturday, October 9, 2021, from 2-4 pm, and 6-8 pm at S.M. FINNEY FUNERAL HOME, 432 N. 6th St, Clairton, PA 15025. Inurnment will occur at a later date. Anna was a member of the Sodality of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Saints Joachim and Anne Parish, and the Polish National Alliance 750 in Glassport.  She loved jigsaw puzzles and sewing.  When her five daughters were younger, she would sew them dresses.  She was well known for the delicious cookies she baked for different family functions.

Randy loved to hunt and fish with his brother Moose as they and friends spent many hours in the outdoors. Randy was a loving father, husband and friend to everyone.
