Ronald Claude Mortle, age 79 of Clairton, passed away on Sunday, December 27, 2020 in Jefferson Hospital.  Born August 30, 1941 in Frank, PA, he was a son of the late Samuel Mortle and Bertha (Ulbrich) Lowers.  A retired Administrative Sergeant for the US Army and Veteran of the Vietnam War, Ronald was a member of the Order of Demolay in McKeesport, the King Solomon Lodge Masonic Order in Stuttgart, Germany, the Junior Order of Mechanics, a senior trustee of the Floreffe Volunteer Fire Department, a life member of the Disabled American Veterans, the VFW #712 of Pleasant Hills, the American Legion Daniel Keffer Post  #75 of Clairton, the German Hunters Association in Heidelberg, Germany, and the Clairton Lions Club.  He is survived by his wife Virginia (Haskell) Mortle; his daughters Tara Leigh (Thomas) Clark of Penn Hills and Tiffany Anne Ferry of Penn Hills; his grandchildren Joseph Eric Mortle, Amanda Leigh Faske, Nathan Michael, Jayson David, Spencer, Tylan, Niki Shay, and Aidan Mortle, Meagan and Julia Clark, and Addison Michele Mortle; his great-grandchildren Angelo Thomas Mortle and Autumn, Branden, Logan, and Landon Faske; his sister Carol E. (the late Geno) Gergley of Clairton; and many nieces and nephews.  Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his son Eric V. Mortle, his brothers Wayne and Glenn S. Mortle, and his stepfather who raised him Claude D. Lowers.

In a glorious celebration, Cheryl Primich Kiser was welcomed home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She departed this earth on Saturday December 26, 2020 and exchanged her worn-out earthly body for a brand new one in heaven. Her feet once numb and without feeling, are now dancing in worship. Her voice once shaking and frail now sings in worship to the Lord. Her tongue once praising Jesus now praises him directly and continuously with renewed joy. She was welcomed into heaven as a good and faithful servant. We know these things because Cheryl professed her salvation in Jesus Christ to everyone she met. He was born May 11, 1948 in McKeesport and was the son of the late Harry Lloyd "Bud" Burton and the late Ida Mae "Cubby" (McLean) Burton. upon graduating Duquesne High School he worked for US Steel Duquesne Works as a welder, then as a boss until they closed. He later worked in the Fabrication Industry including opening his own shop.  He retired in 2016. Tim coached 13 years for the Elizabeth Forward High School Girls Soccer Team.

Shorkey, 84, of North Huntingdon, passed away Saturday, December 26, 2020 in Forbes Regional Hospital.  She was born February 1, 1936 in Pittsburgh, daughter of the late Walter and Helen (Waldeck) Ginter.  Caroline along with her husband James, was the former founder and owner of Shorkey Family Auto Dealership and enjoyed spending time with her family.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Shorkey Sr; brother, George "Bucky" Waldeck; and granddaughter, Hannah Marie Ash.  She is survived by her sons, James Jr. and his wife, Amy, Russell and his wife, Amy; daughters, Elaine, Melissa and her husband, David, Gretchen, Mary and her husband, David, Catherine and her husband, David; 18 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.  Services and interment will be private due to COVID-19.  A celebration of life will be celebrated at a later date.  Arrangements made by the James W. Elizabeth C. (Betts) Romick, age 95, of Versailles Borough, died December 24, 2020, at ManorCare Health Services of Bethel Park. Born April 7, 1925, in South Side, Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late Ludwig and Anna (Raulinaitis) Laukaitis and the wife of the late Charles R. Romick for 53 years.
Elizabeth retired as a teacher's aide for the McKeesport Preschool for Exceptional Children. She was a member of Mary, Mother of God Parish, Corpus Christi worship site, a Christian Mother at Corpus Christi Church, and a member of Catholic Daughters of the Americas McKeesport Court No 221. Elizabeth enjoyed attending her quilting group at Beulah Park Church and the Prayer Shawl Ministry at Corpus Christi. She was a community ambassador for the Center for Healthy Aging at the University of Pittsburgh. Elizabeth was incredibly proud of her Lithuanian heritage. Many will remember the stories she shared about how thrilled she was to experience a hot air balloon ride on her 70th birthday. Elizabeth had a passion for ice skating, beginning when she was young skating at Duquesne Gardens and continuing when she was older at South Park with her husband, Charles.

He was born October 15, 1931 in Mapleton Depot, a son of the late Martin and Kathryn Wagner. Don was an Army veteran that served during the Korean War and was a lifetime member of the American Legion.

He and his wife were the proud owners of Lemco Electric. For over 60 years, he generously served his community and went out of his way to provide excellent customer service. She enjoyed tracking the genealogy of her family, pushing her family knowledge back to the 1600s.

Daniel retired from US Steel, National Tube Works, where he was an armature winder. He was a member of St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church, where all of his children attended school. Daniel was the former Commissioner of the McKeesport Baseball Association and coached McKeesport baseball from Tee ball to Little League. He was also a McKeesport Girls Softball League coach for many years, as well as a football coach with the White Athletic Association. He truly loved serving the community of McKeesport and providing leadership and guidance to the children of McKeesport.

Stella dedicated her life to caring for her family and home. She was a member of Mary, Mother of God Parish, and a Christian Mother at Corpus Christi Church. She was also a member of the Polish National Alliance, Lodge #352. Stella enjoyed cooking, baking, and bingo club. She will always be remembered for hosting Christmas Eve and many other family events throughout her life.

Raymond Richard Little of Monroeville,  formerly of Elizabeth Township and North Huntingdon Township, died Thursday December 24, 2020. Born in Glassport, he was raised in the Coal Valley area of Clairton. In high school he developed his desire for electronic equipment, building radios from scratch. He went on to apprentice as an electrician at the USS National Tube Works in McKeesport eventually becoming an estimator for the Electrical Maintenance Division. He became a master electrician before retiring from USS Clairton Steel Works.
