Lane Anthony Blair, of Blairsville, died Sunday, January 5, 2020 at UPMC Children’s Hospital.  Born in Greensburg, December 31, 2019, he was the infant son of Michael and Kayla Cahill Blair.  In addition to his parents, Lane is survived by grandparents, Wendy and Paul Cahill of Blairsville, PA and Cheryl and Donald Fulton of Springfield, OH; great grandmother, Cathy Cahill of Plum Borough; also by aunts, uncles, and cousins.  Friends will be received in the Hunter Funeral Home, Inc., 1600 Coursin Street, McKeesport, PA  15132 on Friday, January 10, 2020 from 11 AM until 12 PM.  A service will be held at noon with the Rev. Derek Campbell officiating.  Interment will follow in Allegheny Cemetery.  The family suggests contributions to Children’s Hospital, 4401 Penn Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA  15224.

Roberta Lee "Robin" Hodnik, age 65, of McKeesport, died January 6, 2020, at home. Born April 18, 1954, in McKeesport, she was the daughter of the late William and Mary (Weinmiller) Revak and the wife of the late Thomas Hodnik, Sr.
Robin worked for Pennsylvania Coach Lines of McKeesport, where she was a school bus driver and also a security guard. She enjoyed trips to the casino, participating in Painting with a Twist, traveling, and cooking new dishes.

 Alisa graduated from Bosie's Nursing College in Poughkeepsie, NY, graduating second in her class, while working at Rhinebeck Hospital, Rhinebeck, NY. She loved being a nurse and working in healthcare.  She also loved animals, especially horses and cats, enjoyed reading and tending to her garden.

Giovanni Tommasi, 81, of North Huntingdon, passed away Monday, January 6, 2020.  He was born, October 30, 1938 in Sicily, Italy, a son of the late Emanuele  and Rosa Tommasi.  Giovanni worked in the textiles manufacturing industry and was a member of St. Agnes Parish.  He enjoyed gardening, cooking and watching Italian soccer.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 55 years, Rosa Tommasi.  He is survived by his son, Elio Tommasi and his wife, Dawn; daughter, Rosa DeFeo and her husband, James; grandchildren, Gabby (Matt), Sabrina, Giovanni, James, Elaina and Elio; sisters, Lina Bonesio, Gina Tommasi, Giovanna Tommasi; and numerous nieces and nephews.  Friends will be received at the James W. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Irwin, and was also a member of the Order of Eastern Star, Irwin Chapter 400, a Past Royal Matron of the Order of The Amaranth, Jeannette Chapter 25, and a charter member and past Worthy Advisor for the Irwin Chapter of the International Order of Rainbow for Girls. She was also a volunteer for Norwin Area Meals On Wheels for over 20 years.

Shirley C. Turocy, age 85, of Altamonte Springs, Florida, formerly of White Oak, died Saturday, January 4, 2020. She was born in Indiana County, PA and is the daughter of the late Dale and Alice O’Harrah McQuiston. She is the wife of the late Albert R. Turocy, the mother of the late Richard Turocy and sister of the late Marion Brozosky, Harold McQuiston and Mildred Burgado.

She was a former member of Sampson’s Mills Presbyterian Church, employed at Westinghouse Air Brake, worked in retail at Gimbels, Sears and Rite Aid and was a lunch aid at Francis McClure Junior High School. She is survived by her son David A. Turocy of Longwood, Florida and daughter Maryalice (Daniel) Bendick of White Oak, and grandchildren Shelby and Timothy Bendick and many nieces and nephews.

 Family and friends will be received at Strifflers of White Oak Cremation and Mortuary Services, 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA 15131 (Sue Striffler Galaski, supervisor, 412 678 6177) on Wed., January 8, 2020 from 4:00 until 8:00 pm. He was a member of Mount Vernon Community Presbyterian Church in Elizabeth Twp. and enjoyed singing with a barbershop quartet and woodworking. He was an avid football fan and was a former member of the Clemson University football team. Born February 11, 1939 in Floreffe, he was a son of the late Edward O. and Mary (Champion) Withers Porter. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Barbara J. (Black) Withers; daughters, Lori Nicholson of Chatham, VA, Holly (Jeff) Slavin of Painesville, OH and Jill Withers of Columbus, OH; son, Mark E. (Mary Jo Wagner) Withers of Elizabeth; sister, Mary Lou Kline of Strongsville, OH; 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; also, nieces, nephews and cousins. David Else; cherished mother of Cathy Irene LaFluer, Jeffrey David Else and the late Sandra Marie Rexa; loving grandmother to Michael, Andrew and Danny LaFluer, Julie Rexa, Joshua and Jacob Else; adoring G.G. to Riley; and treasured sister, aunt, cousin and friend of many.

Bernard "Bernie" Edward Arndt

Bernard "Bernie" Edward Arndt, 77 years old, died of natural causes in his North Huntingdon home on January 5, 2020.  He was born on February 16, 1942, to Albert Leo Arndt and Bertha Ann Bachus Arndt.  Bernie proudly served in the Marine Corps for 4 years, stationed in Camp Lejeune, North Carolina and in Cuba where he received several medals and accommodations for good conduct, national defense service metal, rifle expert badge and pistol expert badge.  September 1968, Bernie married, the love of his life, Luanne "Lu" Nicole.  Bernie and Lu were the proud parents of one son, Richard "Richie" Arndt.  Bernie's work career included a long-term employment with Beckwith Machinery and Cleveland Brothers at their Murrysville site where he worked in computer programming and software troubleshooting.  Bernie loved to travel both nationally and internationally with his wife, as well as taking Lu antique shopping and to craft shows.  He also enjoyed taking his sister, Bridget, gambling.  He was a long-term resident of the Penns Woods community in North Huntingdon where he enjoyed sitting on his porch people watching and talking to the neighbors.  He also enjoyed supporting the many events sponsored by the Penns Woods Civic Association.  Bernie loved his family and his country.  He was known for his sarcastic sense of humor.  He is predeceased by his wife, Luanne; and his son Richie, as well as his siblings, Anna Mary Schwan, Joseph Arndt, Paul Arndt, Delores "Dee" Ley, and Walburga “Bridget” Arndt.  He is survived by many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.  Friends will be received from 3-7 p.m. on Thursday at the James W. Jean Britha Goodrum Hudson

Jean Britha Goodrum Hudson, 86 died peacefully surrounded by family members on Tuesday, December 31, 2019 in Cumming, GA, where she had resided at the Oaks at Hampton Assisted Living Center since moving from Shalimar, FL, in 2016.  She had been a long-time resident of Florida, living in Homestead and Shalimar.  Jean was born in West Mifflin, PA on April 28, 1933 to the late James and Britha Andrews Goodrum, the last of six children.  Jean was married for 24 years to the late Thomas A. Hudson, Jr. (Air Force Retired), until his death in 1977. Jean worked as a civil servant beginning her career with the Department of Defense and retiring from the Department of the Interior.  After retirement, she enjoyed her grandchildren and fellowship with the First Baptist Church of Niceville, Florida, where she was a long standing member.  She is survived by her daughter; Linda Jean Hudson (David) DeLarios, of Cumming, GA, and son; Thomas James (Kimberly) Hudson, of Spring Hill, FL, grandchildren;  Rebecca R. Hudson,  Thomas C. Hudson, Erika H. Phipps,  Emily  J. Hudson ,  and Hudson A. DeLarios. In addition, Jean was blessed with fifteen great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas A. Hudson, Jr., sisters; Hannah McDevitt, Mary DaBaldo and Viola Edwards, and brothers; James and Arnold Goodrum.  Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, January 7th from 2-4 and 6-8 at S.M. FINNEY FUNERAL HOME, 432 N. 6th St, Clairton, PA 15025.
