Gary Juan Mack, 56, born December 28, 1963, in McKeesport, PA.  The beloved son to Johnnie and Juliette (Mack) Smith, unexpectedly departed this life on October 30, 2020. He was preceded in death by his brother, Orlando Mack, and sister, Cathy Smith.  

Gary, a graduate of McKeesport Area High School, worked as a Maintenance Engineer for Crawford Village. He was the former coach for the Salvation Army Basketball League. Gary loved sports; he was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan. His favorite pastime was fishing. He also loved to cook for his family.

Ann Dolores Carlson, 92, of West Elizabeth, formerly of Elizabeth Township, passed away Monday, November 2, 2020 at home. She was born February 18, 1928 in Pittsburgh and was the daughter of the late Frank and Edith Pearl (Roscoe) Deringer. She was the wife of the late Earl S. Carlson who passed away June 14, 2014. Anna was a member of the Central Highlands Community United Methodist Church and was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels. She was also a member of the Elizabeth Township Senior Citizens.

Mayetta “Mitzi” Jean Gross, 74, of Elizabeth, went home to heaven Sunday, October 25, 2020.  She was born at her home in West Newton on May 15, 1946, to the late Robert “Hoppy” and Hunteretta (Boyd) Smith. 

She was preceded in death by her loving and devoted husband of 42 years Herb, her infant son Timothy Drew, her brothers Robert Smith Jr. of Pensacola, FL, Thomas D. Smith Sr. of West Newton, and Dennis Smith of Jacobs Creek.  She is survived by her only daughter Jeffri Lyn Hurst of Franklin, TN, husband Brandon, and granddaughter Ariele, whom she adored beyond words. 

She is also survived by her only sister, Judith N. Backstrom of West Newton, and many well-loved nieces and nephews.  She was embraced as beloved “Moom” to her many “adopted” daughters and sons.

Raymond Glover, 79, born June 13, 1941, in McKeesport, PA. The beloved son of the late Thomas and Elizabeth (Finkley) Glover, Raymond departed this life on September 13, 2020, at AHN Jefferson Hospital.

Raymond is survived by his son Raymond Glover, Jr.; one grandson; sister, Juanita Glover-Batton of East Orange, NJ; caregiver, Rhonda Glover of Youngstown, OH; nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Bernice "Peggy" (Stewart) Lazzari, age 83, of Bunola, passed away on Sunday, November 1, 2020 at the Village at Morrisons Cove. A former transportation coordinator, she was a lifetime member of Bunola Fire Department. Born August 31, 1937 in Bunola, she was a daughter of the late Albert and Myrtle (Metcalf) Stewart, and wife of the late Paul L. Lazzari. She is survived by children, Billie Jo (Bobby Swisher) Lazzari of Bunola, Becky (John) Vasko of Elizabeth Twp. and James Lazzari of Elizabeth Twp.; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; brother, George Stewart of Pahrump, NV; also, nieces and nephews. Celstine Bacsi, Sisters of the Divine Redeemer, age 95, passed away on Sunday, November 1, 2020 in the Divine Redeemer Motherhouse, Elizabeth Twp.  Born July 19, 1925 in Lorain, OH, she was a daughter of the late Stephen J. and Rosalia (Mojzes) Bacsi.  A recipient of a bachelor's in education and library science, Sr. Celestine worked as a teacher in her home parish - St. Ladislaus in Lorain - and also in the Dioceses of Cleveland and Pittsburgh.  She enjoyed keeping in touch with friends, writing to shut-ins, giving prayer support, making handicrafts to the elderly, supporting Capuchin missions and the causes of American Indians, and making her favorite Hungarian recipes.
