Carmella Velina Quattrociocchi “Carm” Cerqua, 92, a life-time resident of Clairton, passed away at Grandview Estates in Elizabeth on Saturday, July 27th, 2019. She was born to the late“James” Quattrociocchi and Jennie (Spinosa) Quattrociochi, in McKeesport on February 7, 1927.  Carm was the loving wife of 60 years to the late Sundae Cerqua. She is survived by her daughter, Carolyn (James) Shumaker, of Elizabeth, and son, James (Janet) Cerqua, of Clairton, grandchildren; Kristen (Michael) Nehus, of Wylie, TX, Melissa Cerqua, of Clairton and Danielle (Matthew) Jellison, of Elizabeth, and step-grandchildren, Kelli Hill of Cayucos, CA and the late James (Clint) Shumaker of Huntington Beach, CA., great grandchildren; Christina Dececco, Michelle Jellison, A.J. Dececco, Jacob Jellison, Ryan Jellison, and Tyler Jellison and step great-granddaughter Hannah Hill. Carm was preceeded in death by her brother Domenic Quattrociocchi.  She was a graduate of the Clairton High School in 1945. Carm was a previous member of St. Paulinus Church, for which she used to volunteer. She later became a member of St. Clare of Assisi Church in Clairton. Family and friends will be received on Friday, from 2-4 and 6-8 at S.M. FINNEY FUNERAL HOME, 432 N. 6th St, Clairton, PA 15025. A service will take place on Saturday at 10:00 at the funeral home, to be followed by interment at Jefferson Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to United Cerebral Palsy, 119 Jari Dr, Johnstown, PA 15904. The family thanks the staff at Grandview Estates and OSPTA Hospice for the wonderful and loving care they all extended to their mom. Joseph DiMeo, age 80 of Elizabeth Twp., passed away at home on Friday, July 26, 2019.  Born September 5, 1938 in McKeesport, he was a son of the late Adam and Catherine (Filotei) DiMeo.  A retired supervisor for Equitable Gas who also drove school buses for Elizabeth Forward School District, Joseph was a veteran of the US Army, serving in Germany, and an F. & A. M. Mason, Lodge #765, of the 32nd. Degree.  He is survived by his daughter Deanna (Thomas) Nicholson of McKeesport; his grandchildren Joseph and Daniel Nicholson; his great-grandson Noah; his step-grandchildren Samantha and Thomas, II; his sisters Mary Petrina of McKeesport, Lucy Lapinski of McKeesport, Doreena Elliot of McKeesport, and Ann Bootman of Cherry Tree; his nieces and nephews; and his long time companion Patricia Talavinia.  Besides his parents, Joseph was preceded in death by his brother Dominick DiMeo.

James R. Faison, age 82, of North Versailles passed away Wednesday, July 24, 2019. He was born March 22, 1937 in Jeannette, the son of the late Lynwood and Laura Faison. He attended St. Robert Bellarmine Church in East McKeesport and was a member of the Elks in Norwin. He worked for over 31 years as a MI Writer working with manufacturing blueprints for Westinghouse in East Pittsburgh. After retiring, he worked in the tri-state area setting up Hallmark Card displays in stores. He is survived by his wife of over 58 years Georgeanne W. (Wallace) Faison; children Michelle (Paul) Wassel of Scottdale and James R. (Bernadette) Faison Jr. of Murrysville; grandchildren Mallory Schank of McKeesport and Ross Schank of White Oak; and sister Margaret Roy.

Teresa (Cavatoni) Banfield, age 91, of Atria South Hills, formerly of Jefferson Hills, passed away on July 23, 2019.

She was born June 30, 1928 in Colver, Pa., to Tullio and Maria (Parissenti) Cavatoni. Teresa was a R.N. at the Bruceton Research Center and previously served in the USAF from 1950-1965 after she graduated from the Windber Hospital Training School for Nurses in 1949.

Teresa was active at the Jefferson Hills Women's Club and volunteered at the food bank in Duquesne and with the Ladies of Charity at St. Thomas  a Becket Church. She loved family, cats and gardening.  

Teresa is survived by her two sons, Tim (Kathy) Banfield and Mike Banfield; a sister, Edith Zawiskie; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She retired as an anesthesia tech at McKeesport Hospital and was a member of Bethesda United Presbyterian Church in Elizabeth. Like Rosie the Riveter, she worked at U.S. Steel Irvin Works during World War II. She loved her family, her home, animals and she enjoyed baking. She was an extremely generous person who loved Christmas and giving gifts.

Hollibaugh, 89, of North Huntingdon, passed away Monday, July 22, 2019.  He was born June 26, 1930 in Pittsburgh, a son of the late Elmer and Martha (Beadle) Hollibaugh.  Prior to his retirement, Louis was a salesman for various car dealerships in the area and served in the US Marine Corps during the Korean War. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary R. Hollibaugh; son, John Galata; and brother, Jack Hollibaugh.  He is survived by his son, James Galata; daughters, Linda Lou Baker, Betty Jean Oranzo, Elizabeth Cole and her husband, Donald, Janet Pampus and her husband, Chad; brother, George (Shirley) Hollibaugh; grandchildren, Damien and Shane Carr, Jake (Jennifer) Cole, Courtney Cole and Kendra Pampus.  Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-7:30 p.m. on Monday, July 29, 2019 at the James W. Joshua Charles (Josh) Boucek

Joshua Charles (Josh) Boucek, 41 of McKeesport, died Thursday, July 18, 2019.  He was the son of John and Elsie Parton Boucek.  Josh was a collector with many interests.  He was highly creative and a talented artist.  He loved animals and nature, and was an avid hiker on the Yough Trail.  He worked for the Carnegie Free Library of McKeesport for several years before becoming involved with e commerce.  Josh is survived by his mother, sister Julie Kobesky, brother-in-law Daryl and niece Ania, sister Janet Fellows, nieces Liz, Holly and Allie, brother-in-law Chris Fellows, aunts and uncles, and cousins, Linda and Keith Donati, Jess Horenstein, Keith and Tina Parton, Janet and Chuck Waugaman, Chelsea and Gretchen, Jeff and Kathy Boucek, Katie and Johnathan, and many extended family members.  A memorial service is planned for later this fall.  Contributions may be made to the McKeesport Trail Commission, or to the White Oak Animal Safe Haven, a no kill animal shelter.  Hunter Funeral Home, Inc., 1600 Coursin Street, McKeesport, PA  15132 is in charge of arrangements.  A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 2, 2019 at 11:00 AM in Wesley United Methodist Church with the Rev. Michele Nagle officiating.  A repast will follow.  All are welcome to attend.
