Wendell H. Campbell, 91, of North Huntingdon, died Friday May 29, 2020. He was born February 24, 1929 in Filbert, a son of the late Clyde M. and Mabel Luellen (Miller) Campbell.
Wendell was a graduate of Redstone High School, served in the Army during the Korean Conflict, and retired as a maintenance supervisor for Bell Atlantic after over 37 years’ service. He was a member First United Methodist Church, Irwin where he sang in the chancel choir and was a member of the Methodist Men and the Happy Methodists. He was also a member of Shidle Lodge 601, F. & A. M., Irwin, and a longtime member of the Men’s Prayer Fellowship and the Bell Telephone Pioneers. He also tuned pianos for many years.

Krystian Andrew McDonnell, 23, of Duquesne died tragically in a fire at his home on Friday, May 29, 2020.
Mr. McDonnell was born February 24, 1997, in Pittsburgh. The son of Terrence McDonnell and Barbara Vamos McDonnell. Mr. McDonnell was an employee in the custodial department of Duquesne School District.
He is survived by his beloved mother, Barbara and her fiance, Dedris Davis, his father, Terrence and his wife Lasaun, a sister, Cassandra McDonnell, Paternal Grandparents, Dale and Anntionette Miller McDonnell, Aunt, Shelly (Scott) Witkowski, Godparents, Roxanne Clark and Thomas Ambrose, a niece Arya Bisgoni, and cousins, Cameron and Conner Witkowski.

Daughter of Ella Smith and the late Willie Smith, she was born May 16, 1942, in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Affectionately known as Lou Lou, was a caring and loving person. She loved to cook and one of her favorite pastimes was playing bingo.
A woman of faith, Willie Lou was a member of St. Luke Baptist Church for many years. She sang on the choir and was an usher, the gatekeeper for the house of the Lord. On May 28, 2020, Willie Lou passed away peacefully surrounded by her family. She was also preceded in death by her late husband Edward J. Lewis and brother Johnnie Smith.

She was a waitress for many years at Ciccanti's and enjoyed spending Saturday nights watching scary movies with her grandchildren. John Francis Remetta 76, of Monroeville, formerly of Glassport, passed away peacefully on Friday May 29, 2020 at his home. He was born in Glassport on January 2nd, 1944 to the late John J. Remetta and Regina Yeash Remetta. John is survived by his brother James E. Remetta of Glassport and his nieces Regina Remetta of Pocono Mountain, and Jennifer Brown of Altoona, nephews, Loren (Noel) Remetta, and Timothy (Pam) Brown of Yadley, PA, as well as his great niece Caroline and great nephews Mateo, and Rafael Remetta, and brother-in-law Donald Brown of Yardley, PA. John was preceded in death by his sister Clementine Brown. He was a member of the Queen of The Rosary Church in Glassport. John’s favorite things to do were to play volleyball, and racquet ball as well as follow his nephew Loren’s successful ice hockey career at Penn State University. He was an avid follower of all Pittsburgh professional sports teams. John was a huge health food fanatic and took great pride in his own health and wellbeing. He was a proud uncle and great uncle and loved his family dearly.

Thomas J. Eddy, 95, of Elizabeth Township, passed away Wednesday, May 27, 2020 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born November 11, 1924 in Republic and was the son of the late Samuel G. and Minnie (Obertots) Eddy. He was a member of St. Michael Parish in Elizabeth Township, Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Versailles Croatian Club. He graduated from McKeesport High School in 1942 and served in the Navy during WWII. He graduated from the Sonar Training Station in Key West, FL, and earned a second class petty officer rating as a Sonar Man. He served on the USS Bates at Normandy, Iwo Jima, and survived the ship's sinking at Okinawa. He was active in Sports with the Crimson and 3rd Ward Bulldog football teams, several softball clubs and as a McKeesport Umpire's Association umpire. He retired from US Steel Duquesne Works in 1984. He is survived by his wife, Margaret (Regosh) Eddy. They were married in St. Peter and Paul Church in Duquesne and enjoyed 72 years of happiness together in a wonderful marriage.
