Judi A. Sandmeyer, of Warminster, died on Friday, June 21, 2019, at Abington Memorial Hospital. She was 70.

Daughter of the late Paul C. and Ellen Barber Sandmeyer, formerly of New Hope, where she spent her younger years, she was born in Chicago, Illinois and graduated from Elgin Academy, in Elgin, Illinois.

Judi was a resident of Warminster for the past 20 years and was employed at a pharmacy in Hatboro.  Because of her talent and creativity, art became a hobby and she did free-lance designs.

Judi will be missed for her loving and creative ways.  Also missing her and looking for her are her canine companions, Lali and Bennie.

Catherine (Gatto) Strinich, age 93, of Elizabeth, passed away on Saturday, July 6, 2019 at UPMC McKeesport. She was a retired butcher at Marraccini Supermarket in Elizabeth, a former butcher at Foodland in Clairton, a former head cook at Royak’s Diner in Dravosburg and a seasonal employee at Kaufmann’s in Century III Mall. A member of St. Michael Parish in Elizabeth Twp., she was extremely active with the parish fish fry and had a passion for cooking and baking. She was also a former member of St. Clare of Assisi parish in Clairton.

Josephine Marie "Flossie" (Sposato) Cathell, age 89 of Clairton, passed away peacefully in her home on Saturday, July 6, 2019.  Born February 27, 1930 in Clairton, she was a daughter of the late John and Susan (Demis) Sposato; wife of the late Denny L. "Doc" Cathell, who passed away April 25, 1995; and sister of the late Nick and Angelo Saputo, Laura Bahlia, Joseph and Vincent "Bill" Sposato, Elizabeth "Tootsie" Michaels, Louis Sposato.  Josephine's family will remember her as a very loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and aunt.

(Tubbs) Spinozzi; his son Agostino Spinozzi, wife Linda, and their family Carmene and Bianca, all of North Huntingdon; and also nieces and nephews.

Sophia E. (Bialon) Churley, age 96, of North Versailles, passed away Wednesday, July 3, 2019. She was born May 11, 1923 in Bovard, a daughter of the late Joseph and Anna Bialon. She was a long-time member of St. Robert Bellarmine Church in East McKeesport. During World War II she worked as a mechanist at the Chicago Latrobe Plant in Chicago, Illinois. Later in life she helped with the Mercy Sisters of Pittsburgh at St. Xavier in Latrobe. She always enjoyed playing cards and bingo with the Senior Citizens group in North Versailles. She is survived by her children Scilene Niki (Sam) Mraz of Latrobe and Bernard Churley of Squirrel Hill; Grandchildren Carolyn and David (Alexis); sister Elizabeth (James) Annavella; and nieces and nephews especially Trish Porchiron and Daniel Pushic because of the time spent together.

Marzetta R. "Marz" Williams, 55, of Clairton, Pennsylvania, departed this life on Tuesday, July 2, 2019, in UPMC Presbyterian Hospital.

Marzetta, affectionately known as “Marz”, was born October 9, 1963, in Cleveland, Ohio, daughter of the late Eugene and Rosetta Mae Tillman Hammock.  She was also preceded in death by her son, Tyrone Williams, Jr., and siblings, Samantha Allen and Eugenia Hammock.

She worked as a Supervisor of Security at Duquesne University.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Paris Williams of Clairton, two grandchildren, and brother, Eugene Jones, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, a many other who called Marz a friend.

He was an Army veteran that went onto become the President of the Society of St. Vincent DePaul and was very proud of the 25 years that he spent as a member of the Society helping the needs of others in the Pittsburgh area. William Donald Link, age 75, of McKeesport, died Wednesday, July 3, 2019.  He was born in McKeesport on November 26, 1943 and is the son of the late Wilmer and Ruth Considine Link.  He was employed as a taxi driver in Denver, Colorado for many years eventually retiring back in McKeesport.  He enjoyed reading and trivia pursuit.  He was very knowledgeable and knew the lyrics to many songs. 

He is survived by children, Patrick Henry Link of Castle Rock, Colorado and Penny Leigh (Toby) Hoenshell of Parker, Colorado; grandchild Baleigh Kai Hoenshell; siblings, Richard John (Marlene) Link of California, Pennsylvania, Nancy Ruth Zmugg of Denver, Colorado, Thomas Martin (Nancy) Link of Mt. Lebanon, Mary Lou (Louis) Mazure of Fayetteville, Georgia, Kathryn Ann (Stephen) Petro of Kamiah, Idaho, Patricia Louise (Stephen) Foster of Baldwin;  many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, 1 great-great niece and 1 great-great nephew.

Paliscak, 82, of North Huntingdon, passed away Tuesday, July 2, 2019.  She was born March 1, 1937 in McKeesport, a daughter of the late Stephen and Julia Kapisak.  Ruth was a member of St. Agnes Parish and enjoyed working crossword puzzles.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Edward Kapisak; sisters, Rose (Frank) Modrak and Mary (Frank) Opieloski.  She is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, George Paliscak; sons, David Paliscak and his wife, Sally, Daniel Paliscak and Christopher Paliscak, and his wife, Jennifer; daughter, Julie Puhl and her husband, Michael; sister, Patricia Race and her husband Ted; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.  Friends will be received on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the James W. Shirley Funeral Home, 176 Clay Pike, North Huntingdon, PA.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday at 10 a.m. in St. Agnes Church with Msgr.
