Robert E. Smith, age 89, of Irwin, passed away Wednesday, February 15, 2017. He was born July 1, 1927 in Wilmerding, a son of the late Clarence C. and Verna (Stormer) Smith. He was a long time member of the West Hempfield Presbyterian Church where he participated in their dart ball competitions. He was an Army Veteran of World War II and had the honor of guarding the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Arlington National Cemetery. He retired from truck driving for Clean Textile Systems in Lawrenceville and enjoyed hunting and golf. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother Glendon Smith. He is survived by his wife of over 66 years Pauline C. (Cline) Smith; children Karen L. (John) Reed of Irwin, Beverly Ann (Joseph) Patton of Derry and Paul R. Smith of Irwin; grandchildren Nicole (Drew) Reckhart, Jennifer (Matthew) Stephens, Matt Reed (fiancé Danielle) and Renee Root; 10 great grandchildren; and sister Dorothy Thomas of Tiffen, Ohio.

She was born April 12, 1916 in Lettopalena (Abruzzo Region) Italy, and was the daughter of the late Dominic and Maria D. Palmieri Martinelli. She was the wife of the late Crescenzo Rossetti who died in 1996. She attended St. Michael Parish in Elizabeth Township. She is survived by her daughters, Lucia Martin of Houston, TX, Philomena Ryan and Maria Rossetti of Elizabeth Township, sons, Dominic (Cheryl) Rossetti of Greensburg, and Mario (Susan) Rossetti of Elizabeth Township, daughter-in-law, Susan (Kurt Woodhead) Rossetti of Peters Township, grandchildren, Vincent (April) Ryan, Carleen (Ron) Fontana, Sarah (Jason) Pastor, Christopher (Shenessa) Rossetti, Todd (Karen) Rossetti, Jill Rossetti, and Laura (John) Cosharek, great-grandchildren, Anthony and Madeline Fontana, Ethan, Tristen, and Mia Pastor, Gabriella and Rafael Cosharek, and Olivia Rossetti, nieces and nephews.

Leonard E. "Lenny" Zielinski, 64, of Versailles, formerly of Port Vue, died Monday February 13, 2017. He was born September 25, 1952 in McKeesport and was the son of the late Leonard E. Zielinski, Sr., and the late Evelyn Sopko Zielinski. Lenny worked at the former US Steel National Tube Works as an inspector for 12 years and also worked for Highview in maintainence for 24 years. Lenny was a H.A.M. Radio operator, enjoyed photography and was also the family comedian. He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Della Boyer Zielinski, brothers, Mike (Sandy) Zielinski of Carnegie, and Dan (Marge) Zielinski of Eighty Four, sister, Mae (Bob) Magdic of Fredericktown, sister-in-law, Jacqueline Shah of Buena Vista, nieces, Jacklynn and Sarah, and nephews, David, Andrew, Levi, Jacob, James, and Nicholas.

Born November 10, 1933 in McKeesport she was the daughter of the late Frank and Elizabeth ( Tomkowitz) Sharp.  Loretta worked at the Thurman Candy Company, U.S. Steel, and Shop-N-Save in the meat department. She loved her animals and enjoyed watching cooking shows. Loretta is survived by her sister Marcella Szymarek of New Stanton and brother Frank (Ruth Fey) Sharp of Tucson AZ and many nieces, nephews, great and also great great nieces and nephews. Loretta is preceded in death by brothers; Edwin and Edmund Sharp, brother in law Walter Szymarek, and sister in law Marie Sharp. Family and friends will be received at the Jaycox-Jaworski Funeral Home & Crematory on Wednesday February 15, 2017 from 9am until the time of service at 11am in the funeral home chapel. Andrew D. Rusin, age 64 of McKeesport died on February 12, 2017 at UPMC McKeesport. Born August 31,1952 in McKeesport, he was the son of the late Andrew Jr. and the living Julia (Maha) Rusin. Andrew was a member of St. Michaels Orthodox Church. He was in the Mon-Yough choir and volunteered for many food banks. He enjoyed drawing and Pittsburgh sports. In addition to his mother, Andrew is survived by his sister Sandra (Melchior) Masina; nephew Paul (Suzannah) Masina; great nieces,Theodora and Rosalyn; many cousins; aunt, Helen Shaw. In addition to his father, Andrew is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Marie (Andrew) Rusin (Lazoranko); maternal grandparents, John (Anna) Maha; cousins, Gordon Shaw, Sandra Bradish, and Richard Maha.
