Harold N. "Buzz" Phillips, Jr., 64 of Glassport, died March 30, 2018. He is the son of the late Harold and Donaldeen (Beitler) Phillips, Sr. He is survived by his beloved wife Louise Phillips; sons Brian Phillips and Jim (Lisa) Phillips; grandchildren Jim Phillips, Jr, Alex, Ben and Elizabeth and sister Sheryl Perozich; also nieces and nephews. Buzz worked at National Tubes for 13 years and then Kane Regional Center. Buzz was a member of Port Vue Athletic Association and church council at Queen of the Rosary. He was also very active in Glassport and South Allegheny's football, basketball and baseball programs where he coached for many years. Virginia “Jeanie” Dorothy Loomis, 95, of Clairton, formerly of Glassport, passed away at Jefferson Regional Hospital on Thursday, March 29, 2018. She was born September 4, 1922 in McKeesport to the late John and Mary Germek Pavol. Virginia was the loving wife of the late Leland Russell Loomis for 39 years. She is survived by her son, Donald R. John Joseph Giles Jr., age 70, of Liberty Borough, passed away on Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Buckhannon, WV. Owner of John Giles Trucking Inc. in Liberty Borough for more than 40 years, he was a self-employed truck driver. A Navy veteran serving during the Vietnam War, he was a member of the Experimental Aircraft Association, the NRA, Goldwing Road Riders Association, and AARP. He enjoyed flying his powered parachute.
William Francis Denney, age 101, of North Huntingdon, formerly of New Jersey, passed away Sunday, March 25, 2018. He was born August 15, 1916, in Orange, New Jersey, a son of the late Daniel and Matilda Denney. He retired after 32 years as a production manager at the Newark News and was a former member of St. Joseph Church in West Orange, and a past Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus. He was an Army veteran of WWII. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife Lorene (Rutledge) Denney; and brothers Daniel and James Denney. He is survived by his children William F. (Maggie) Denney Jr. of North Huntingdon and Robert D. (Kathleen) Denney of Boonton, NJ; grandchildren Lauren and Collin Denney; and sister a Helen Knight of Lancaster. A funeral service and interment will take place in New Jersey.
Mary Ann Dworek, 80, of Port Vue, passed away at home on Tuesday, March 27, 2018. She was born July 17, 1937 in McKeesport and was the daughter of the late William and Mary (Plichta) Bertoti. She was the wife of the late Paul Dworek who died April 6, 2010. Mary Ann was a member of Corpus Christi Parish and the McKeesport Garden Club. She was retired from the Borough of Port Vue after 38 years of service. She is survived by her daughter, Celeste (Bob) Soubeyrand of Port Vue, twin sons, Christopher P. (Betsy) Dworek of Mercer and Cary P. Dworek of West Middlesex, grandchildren, Heather Atkinson, Nicholas Yaksic, Tyler Soubeyrand and Madeline Dworek, great-granddaughter, Anastasia "Annie" Atkinson, nieces and nephews.

George Boros, age 86, of McKeesport died Tuesday, March 27, 2018.He was born in Braddock on February 3, 1932 and is the son of the late Andrew and Marie Matta Boros.He was the husband of the late Rose Marie Kopolovich Boros.George served in the Ary duringthe Korea war. He was employed at Mesta Machine in Homestead and then at Thermal Industries in Murrysville.He volunteered at Meals on Wheels in McKeesport, he loved listening and dancing to Polka music; in fact, everyone wanted to “dance the Polka with Uncle George.”He had a kind smile that made you smile and everyone enjoyed spending time with him.
Emil "Moe" Brunazzi, Jr., 95, of Elizabeth Township, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 26, 2018. He was born November 22, 1922 in Blythedale and was the son of the late Emil Brunazzi, Sr. and Narcissa Morpanini Brunazzi. He was the husband of 65 years to the late Elizabeth Marie "Betty" Hamadock Brunazzi. Moe graduated from Sewickley Township High School in Herminie in 1942 and went on to work as a milkman for Menzie Dairy in McKeesport and delivered milk in the Pittsburgh area for 27 years. He also worked at his parent's farm in Irwin. After his retirement from Menzie Dairy, he was employed by Walter Schmitt and Associates in West Newton. Emil loved his children and grandchildren, to garden, watch the deer, turkeys and squirrels in his back yard, planting flowers, crossword puzzles and to go fishing in Potter County with his son-in-law, Ray Homa. Emil was a member of the Shelocta Sportsman's Club. He is survived by 3 generations of family including his five children, whom he loved very much, Sharon A. Betty Ann (Charney) Horensky, 79, of Greenock, died Sunday, March 25, 2018. She was born May 26, 1938 in McKeesport and was the daughter of the late William F. and Anna (Cholock) Charney. She was the wife of the late George Edward Horensky, Jr., who died February 19, 2012. Betty was a member of Corpus Christi Parish and the Ladies of Charity, Fish Fry Ministry, Peanut Butter and Jelly Ministry for the Boys and Girls Club and the Festival Committee there. She was formerly the secretary at Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Greenock and with the former Department of Energy in West Mifflin. She is survived by her son, George William (Katherine) Horensky of Rostraver, sister, Deborah Charney of Port Vue, grandchildren, Vincent W. Horensky and Elizabeth Mary Horensky, and brother-in-law, David Horensky.
Jimmie Joe Berggren, Jr., 35, of West Newton, died Saturday, March 24, 2018. He was born March 15, 1983 in Jeannette and was the son of Jimmie Berggren and Naoma Harvey of West Newton. Jimmie worked for Blank Welding in Elizabeth. Diane Jean Craig, 60, of McKeesport passed away March 25, 2018 at home. She was born in Pittsburgh, the daughter of the late James and Yvonne (Coleman) Workman. She was a member of Beulah Park United Methodist Church.
Diane is survived by her husband, Edward L. Craig Sr.; a daughter Dawn L. (Anthony) Harper; sons, Edward L. (Diane) Craig Jr., Shawn J. Craig and Brian L. Craig. She is also survived by her twin sister, Donna Harper, and brothers Kevin (Sally) Westfall and Kenneth Workman. She has 24 grandchildren.
Philip E. Carnahan, 89, of North Versailles, died Sunday, March 25, 2018. He was born December 18, 1928 in McKeesport and was the son of the late Robert L. and Elizabeth (Baker) Carnahan. Philip worked for the former Teslovic builders and served in the National Guard. He is survived by his brother, Robert L. Carnahan of White Oak, nieces, Lynne A. (John) Straub and Susan L. Salley, great-nieces, Melissa and Sara and great-nephews, Shaun and Michael.
Gertrude Ida (Schroter) Blaha, 92, of Elizabeth Township, died Sunday, March 25, 2018. She was born August 20, 1925 in Glassport and was the daughter of the late Karl and Martha (Bartz) Schroter and was the wife of the late John E. Blaha. Gertrude was a member of the former St. John's Lutheran Church in Glassport. She had worked at the former Glass House in Glassport for many years. She had also worked at the Christy Park Works and Westinghouse in East Pittsburgh. She is survived by her son, Karl (Carol) Blaha and daughter, Carol (William) Hageman of Elizabeth Township, grandchildren, John and Candace Blaha and Suzanne and Christine Hageman. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Hedwig Olson and Lota Kirschner.

Born May 11, 1927 in Duquesne, she was a daughter of the late Peter and Mary (Mihach) Kellar. A member of Corpus Christi Parish in McKeesport and the former Sacred Heart and St. Martin de Porres Parishes, Jean was a 1944 graduate of Duquesne High School, a volunteer with both the Rainbow V.F.C. and Senior Care at Lifespan, and a member of S.O.A.R..
Marlene Fay Claar, age 79 of McKeesport, passed away at home on Saturday March 24, 2018. Born June 11, 1938 in Palmer, she was a daughter of the late Walter and Fay (Teufel) Olsavsky A former real estate agent with Matthew Cracolice Agency in White Oak, Marlene also operated her own day care. She loved her cats and loved children, especially babysitting her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Nancy Ann Coleman, age 75 of Glassport and formerly of Elizabeth Twp. and Wilmerding, passed away on Saturday, March 24, 2018 in UPMC McKeesport Hospital. Born October 6, 1942 in Wilmerding, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Mary (Praskavich) Miskow. A very talented artist, photographer, and gardener, Nancy worked in the art department at G.C. Murphy and Co. in McKeesport.
Sallie L. Prihode, age 81 of McKeesport, died Saturday, March 24, 2018. She was born June 16, 1936 in McKeesport, the daughter of the late Ernest and Judy Welsh Lofstrom, and wife of the late Edward P. Prihode. Sallie graduated from McKeesport School of Nursing and worked forty-two years as a nurse for Dr. Laurence T. Ritchie in White Oak, until her retirement. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star for 47 years. She was a member of the Clairton Chapter #316, past Matron of White Oak Chapter #542, past District Deputy, and 1989 Grand Warder of the Grand Chapter of Pennsylvania.

Judge Zoran Popovich, of Pawleys Island, South Carolina and formerly of McKeesport, Pennsylvania, passed away on March 20, 2018 at 87 years of age.Born February 4, 1931 in Akron, Ohio, he was the son of the late Very Rev. She was born September 22, 1940 in Jeannette, a daughter of the late Joseph and Vera (Winfield) Hare and was also preceded in death by her husband Ralph E. Hensell Jr. and a grandson Joseph Hensell. She was a former longtime employee of Monsour Hospital and also worked at Redstone Highlands, North Huntingdon. She is survived by her sons Ralph Hensell and his wife Adrian of Manor, James Hensell of Adamsburg, and Gregory Hensell and his wife Susan of Manor; her grandchildren Ralph Hensell, Jaime (Brian) Evans, Matthew (Amy) Hertzog, Jonathan Hensell, Rachel (David) Eckberg, Michael (Chrisato) Hensell, Jacob (Ashley) Hensell, and Jeffrey Hensell; her great grandchildren Ethan Hensell, Kailyn Evans, Bryce Hensell, Alexis Evans, Blake and Grant Hertzog, Kartar and Nikki Hensell, Zack Eckberg, Lucas Hensell, and what she was anxiously waiting for, her eleventh great grandchild Evan Hensell on the way. Larry Hartos, age 69, of Duquesne, died Sunday, March 18, 2018. He was born September 20, 1948 in McKeesport, the son of the late Arthur L. and Blanche Melcarsky Hartos. Larry was employed at the Bettis Atomic Power Laboratory as an industrial electrical technician for thirty-eight years. He was the board president of the White Oak American Legion post 701, and former member of the Bethlehem Congregational Church.
ROBERT L. SAPOS age 73, on March 3, 2018, of North Huntingdon, PA,. He was the son of the late Andrew and Helen (Szegedy) Sapos. Bob was retired from sales from Home Depot and also worked at Boyer-Pentek Construction and US Steel Duquesne Works. Bob was a handyman and enjoyed old cars and doo-wop music. He was the beloved husband of 49 years to Karen C. John David Patrick, 63, of McKeesport, died Saturday, March 17, 2018 at home. He was born February 7, 1955 in Youngstown, Ohio, and was the son of Olga (Roshesky) Patrick of Youngstown and the late John Patrick. John was a deacon and choir member at the Norwin Alliance Church and was also a member of Pittsburgh Scottish Country Dance Society and the Tuesday Musical Club. He graduated from Youngstown University with 2 Engineering Degrees. He retired from US Steel - Edgar Thomson Works after 40 years of service. Beloved wife of the late Joseph W. Kuzio., whom she married on July 1, 1950 at Holy Cross Church. Her brother Valentine Uziel and wife Irene were a special part of Theresa and Joe's life, sharing many special moments over the years. Mary R. Mizgorski, 92, a life long resident of Bloomfield, died Monday, March 12, 2018. She was born July 10, 1925 in Pittsburgh and was the daughter of the late Vicenzo and Antoinette (Scapes) Trapani. She was the wife of the late A. William Mizgorski. Mary worked for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Workman's Compensation Division and had previously worked for Ayob's Produce Yards in the Strip District. She was a member of the Italian Sons and Daughters of America. She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Joanne E. Mizgorski of Shadyside, brother, Dominic (Pat) Trapani of Verona, and many nieces and nephews.

Michael Ferraro Wotherspoon and Anthony Ferraro, and wife of the late Jon Phillips. Helaine was employed by PA Coach Lines for years where she held numerous different jobs. She was a driver, a dispatcher, a bookkeeper, worked in payroll and was a school bus monitor. She was a member of Corpus Christi Church and was past president of the Christian Mothers Rosary Society and the Prayer Shawl Ministry.

Edward J. Vojtek, age 89 of West Mifflin, died Saturday, January 20, 2018. He was born in McKeesport, the son of the late John and Agnes Vojtek, Sr., and husband of the late Phyllis Gray Vojtek. Edward served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was stationed in Alaska. He worked as a press operator for GM in West Mifflin until his retirement. Edward loved hunting, was an avid trap shooter and belonged to several gun clubs. He is survived by his daughter Donna (John) Nixon of Mansfield, Ohio, granddaughter Erin (Dean) Pontikos of Brecksville, Ohio, 2 great grandsons, William and Johnny, and brother Albert (Martha) Vojtek of Fort Gratoit, Michigan. He was preceded in death by his brother John Jr., and sister Emma Mehalik.

Zachary Edward Segady, 14, of White Oak, died Saturday, March 10, 2018. He was born January 2, 2004 in Pittsburgh and was the son of Meri (Speake) Segady and Ernest Segady Jr. of White Oak. Zach was an eighth grade student at Founder's Hall and was a member of the youth group at First Evangelical Free Church. He was also a member of the White Oak Athletic Association Basketball and Baseball program. He was a volunteer at the White Oak Fire Co. and loved to play computer and Xbox video games. Dennis W. Mathe, 70, of White Oak, passed away peacefully Friday, March 9, 2018 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born July 15, 1947 in McKeesport and was the son of the late Alexander and Irene Szalko Mathe. Dennis worked as a bander for Precoat metals and was an avid Pittsburgh sports fan. He was a member of Corpus Christi Parish, The Eleventh Ward Welfare Club and the Croatian Club. Most importantly, he was a devoted husband, a wonderful father, and a wonderful grandfather. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Joy Cecchini Mathe of White Oak, daughter, Dena (Tony) Pugliano of East McKeesport, son, Dennis L. WILLIAM H. VALIQUETTE Jr. age 91, of West Mifflin, March 4, 2018. He was a son of the late William H. and Elizabeth (Foster) Valiquette, Sr. He was a retired clerk from the US Steel Duquesne Works, Irvin Works and the Homestead Works. Bill was a member of the Croatian Club of Duquesne and a member of the Duquesne High School 1944 State Basketball Championship Team, he proudly served his country in the Army during WWII. Husband of the late Virginia M. (Johnson) Valiquette; father of William H. (Chris Ann) Valiquette III of West Mifflin and the late Janet Renshaw who is survived by her former husband, Daniel Pollak; also seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and one great-great- granddaughter; brother of Gloria (late Ted) Shell of Port Vue, Arlene Gida and the late Jack Valiquette. Nicholas A. Pazuchanics, age 83, of the Tenth Ward section of McKeesport, died March 5, 2018. Born December 4, 1934, in McKeesport, he was the son of the late George and Helen (Shelestak) Pazuchanics.
Helen Louise (Hayden) Bickerton, age 96, of Elizabeth, passed away on Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at UPMC Mercy. She retired after 19 years as an executive secretary for Westinghouse at Bettis Atomic Power Laboratory in West Mifflin. She was a member of Elizabeth United Methodist Church in Elizabeth where she was the church secretary in the 1960s. She was also a bank teller in Elizabeth.
Elizabeth "Betty" (Cartia) Vozar, 88, of North Versailles, passed away peacefully at home on March 5, 2018. She was born July 2, 1929 in McKeesport and was the daughter of the late Charles Carmela and Maria Rosa (Urblik) Cartia. She was the wife of the late John Vozar. Elizabeth was a member of Miller United Methodist Church in North Versailles. She had previously worked for Orlando's Fruit Market, Cox's Dept. Store and the Salvation Army, all in McKeesport. She enjoyed cooking and baking daily for her family and friends. She also liked Sudoku and variety puzzle books. She loved watching the Food Network, game shows and the news. She never thought of herself, instead, always put others first. She was constantly thinking of what else she can do to make people happy - especially her family. She attended McKeesport High School, but had to quit at 15 years old to take care of her mother. She is survived by her sons, John (Becca) Vozar of Liberty Borough, Kenneth (Kathy) Vozar of North Versailles, and Pastor Ron (JoAnn) Vozar of Fredericktown, Ohio, and her daughter, Liz Vozar of Lincoln Borough. She was the sister of Jim (Nancy) Cartia of Manteca, CA, grandmother of Breanne (Michael) Cleary, Chelsea Vozar, Shaun Vozar, Wayne (Kellie) Vozar, Kristy (Bryan) Conklin, and Kelly (Jay) Russell. She was the great-grandmother of Emmalyn, Taylor, Zach, Ethan, Blake, Annalise, Caleb, and Luke. Elizabeth was one of thirteen children.
Mark Thomas Melonja, age 30 of Forward Twp. and formerly of West Jefferson Hills, passed away on Sunday, March 4, 2018. Born August 22, 1987 in McKeesport, he is a son of Mark Melonja and his wife Kathy Miller-Melonja of Carroll Twp.. An operating technician at US Steel Edgar Thompson Works in Braddock, Mark was a devoted father who enjoyed riding dirt bikes in his spare time.
Michael J. Deak, age 84, of White Oak, died March 3, 2018, at UPMC East of Monroeville. Born March 4, 1934, in Rankin, PA, he was the son of the late Michael and Sadie (Smecker) Deak and the husband of Kathy (Marciniec) Deak.
Regis Alan Hinerman, Jr., 49, of Forward Township, died Friday, March 2, 2018 at home. He was born June 17, 1968 in McKeesport and was the son of Peggy J. Stiens Hinerman of Elizabeth Township and the late Regis Alan Hinerman, Sr. Regis was a 1986 graduate of Elizabeth Forward High School and had worked for Basic Carbide. He had a passion for cars and mechanics. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his twin children, Emily Elizabeth and Nicholas James Hinerman at home along with their mother, Lisa Danca and Toni Lynn, sister, Dana Hinerman-Augustine of Collinswood, NJ, brother, Brandon J. (Emily) Hinerman of Forward Township, aunt, Janet (John) Agnew of Eighty-Four, uncles, Jerry (Rosalie) Hinerman of McKeesport, David (Bella) Hinerman of White Oak, Michael (Dana) Younge of Elizabeth Township, Jim Younge of West Mifflin, and Richard Younge of Kissimmee, FL, nephews, Damien and Logan, and many cousins and friends.
Melanie Sue Moffat, 63, of Dravosburg, passed away Saturday, March 3, 2018. She was born September 28, 1954 in McKeesport and was the daughter of the late Alma Mae Eisenhuth Moffat and Robert (Evelyn Farkas) Moffat of Boston. Melanie was a retired Administrative Assistant at Elizabeth Forward School District with 35 years of service. She was secretary to the High School Principal, Guidance Dept, Athletic Dept. and District Business Manager as well as the District Special Education Dept. Melanie was instrumental in organizing the Senior Citizen's Luncheon, Graduation Ceremonies and the Crisis Control Team. She was also the Assistant Drama Director at the high school and started the former Girls Club of Boston. Melanie was secretary to the Board of Directors of the Dravosburg Housing Authority and was also the Board Secretary of White Thorn Lodge Nudist Camp in Chippewa. She had also worked for Sears' Jewelry Dept. in Century III Mall. In addition to her father, she is survived by sisters, Belinda (David) Donahoe and Angel (Terry ) McCormley of Dravosburg and Janine (Daniel) McBride of White Oak, brothers, Gordon (Joni) Moffat of Butler and Robert (Annette) Moffat of North Port, FL, step-sisters, Renee (Steven) Spitzer of Somerset, KY, and Tabitha (Charles) Geramita of Castle Shannon, aunts, uncles, cousins, 14 nieces and nephews, and 12 great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was born February 17, 1941 in McKeesport to the late Joseph and Marion Koontz Chonko. Mary was the loving wife of 51 years to the late Joseph A. “Bud” Kratzenberg who passed away in 2008. She is survived by daughters, Sandy Flanagan of West Mifflin, Wendy Curran of Dravosburg, Diane (Ed) Losteter of Jefferson Hills, Lauren (Scott) Seach of Glassport; grandchildren, Nikki, Joe, Jessi, Sam, Megan, A. J., Joseph; great-grandchildren, Dominic, Noah, Gwen, Isaac, Grayson; sisters, Pat Bucy, Ona (Mark) Horgas, Ginny (Ralph) Lemak, Ruth (Lud) Pisko; brother James “Jimbo” (Marie) Chonko. Along with her parents and husband, Mary was preceded in death by siblings, Joellen Wigton, Timothy Chonko; sons-in-law, James Flanagan, and Mark Curran. Karl E. "Sonny" Haney, 86, of West Mifflin, died March 2, 2018. He is the son of the late Karl and Bertha (Evans) Haney. Karl is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years Madeline (Shidel) Haney; children Karl (Jillian) Haney, Kathleen (the late Nicholas) Bracco, Patti Walendziewicz and Marcia (Chris) Rogers; grandchildren Anthony (Tanaz), Joseph and Leeanne Bracco, Andrew, Erin and Danielle Walendziewicz; Kaitlyn Haney; Samantha and Nicholas Rogers; great grandchildren Gabriella, Isabella, Adalina, Hannah, Kasey, Aiden and Elijah. Karl was retired from Keystone Auto Parts in Christy Park; was a member of Christ the Light of the World Parish; American Legion Post 701 and served in the US Army Korean War where he attained the rank of Staff Sergeant. He was born on Nov. 2, 1954, in McKeesport, to the late Thomas George Lloyd Sr. and Elizabeth (Conroy) Lloyd. He was a box assembler at the Box Factory, Pittsburgh. He was the husband of the late Lois Lloyd. He is survived by his son, Earl William Lloyd Jr. of Clairton. He was the brother of Mary Jane (James) Groff of Duquesne, Thomas G. Lloyd Jr. of Donora, the late Elizabeth Snyder and late Donna Lloyd. Edward Greenewald, 89, of Elizabeth Township and Whitacre, VA , died Thursday, March 1, 2018. He was born May 16, 1928 in Christy Park and was the son of the late Herman and Marie Greenewald. He was the husband of the late Betty Lee Whitacre Greenewald who died February 21, 2014. Edward was a member of the Central Highlands Community United Methodist Church in Elizabeth Twp., and was a volunteer with Meals on Wheels and the Elizabeth Pantry. He worked for US Steel Irvin Works Engineering Department and retired from the Accounting Department of US Steel Homestead Works. Edward was a Korean veteran and served in the Armored Division. He kept active playing golf and traveling. He is survived by his daughter, Cindy Lee (Dr. Kerry) Bertschinger and his son, Robert E. Greenewald of Gore, VA, grandchildren, Brandy Lee, Bridget Lee and Brent Van Bertschinger, sister, Marie Plencik of North Versailles, great-grandchildren, Vannah, Aubrey, Zander and Keidan, nieces and nephews.

He retired after 24 years as a bus driver for Allegheny County Port Authority in West Mifflin. He was a former member of Glassport Assembly of God Church, a former Eastern District Commander with Royal Rangers of Pennsylvania, a former board member of Glendale Yearound and their Water Authority, a former member of Christian Missionary Alliance Church in Coalport and a member of its Prime Timers.
Lois F. Sechrist 89, of Somerset and formerly Glassport, PA, died March 1, 2018 at Somerset Hospital. Born January 20, 1929, in Glassport, she is the daughter of the late James W. and Grace (Oates) Forbes. Also preceded in death by her husband, Harry C. Sechrist, and brother, Donald Forbes. She is survived by sons, Bruce David and Denis Craig Sechrist and a daughter, June L. (Sechrist) Weakland. Nephew James Forbes and niece Cheryl (Forbes) Lebada. Grandchildren: Bruce Edward Sechrist of Somerset, Laura Fortenberry of New Jersey, Skip Weakland of New Jersey and Danielle Kline of Wyoming. Also 7 great grandchildren and 19 nieces and nephews. Lois was a graduate of Glassport High School and a member of the First Baptist Church, Glassport and attended the Roof Garden Christian Church, Somerset. She was formerly employed by G. C. Murphy Company and the Copperweld Company in Glassport. She was known for her ready smile, great generosity and her deep faith, showing kindness to everyone that she met. Mildred L. "Millie" (Machek) Cmar, 90, of Duquesne, died peacefully Tuesday, February 27, 2018 in Riverside Nursing Center, McKeesport. Born in Duquesne, January 23, 1928, she was the daughter of the Late Charles and Anna (Carpek) Machek. Mrs. Cmar was a member of Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church, West Mifflin, The Confraternity of Christian Mothers, K of C Senior Citizens, K of C 4210 Auxiliary, Duquesne Annex Senior Citizens, and a graduate of Mason/Frederick Beauty School. She was the beloved wife of the Late Joseph B. Cmar. This year they would have celebrated their 70th Wedding Anniversary. She is survived by their loving daughters, Eileen (Patrick) Bridge of Forest Hills, Joanne (David) Jordan of Port Vue, and Mary Lou (Charles) Mahoney of West Mifflin, eight grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren, and lifelong friend Dorothy Stringer. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Margaret Szabo and Mary Ann Cohen.
Warren H. McCarthy Sr., age 67, of Greensburg, passed away Thursday, March 1, 2018. He was born February 28, 1951 in McKeesport, a son of Shirley (Dannenhauer) McCarthy and the late Harry G. McCarthy. He was proud to be a truck driver and volunteered as a fireman at Dept. 4 in Hartford Heights, Dept. 10 in Adamsburg and most recently at Dept. 61 in Hyde Park. In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by his brother Dale McCarthy. He is survived by his loving wife of over 27 years Norma (Dempsey) McCarthy; children Warren McCarthy Jr., Justin McCarthy, Christopher (Tarah) McCarthy and Melanie McCarthy; many grandchildren; and brother Kim McCarthy.
Charles W. Burke, age 60 of White Oak, died Thursday, March 1, 2018. He was born January 31, 1958 in McKeesport, the son of the late Charles L. and Jean Surovy Burke. Chuck was an auto mechanic at Graham’s Service Station and then worked for Tennant for 33 years as a supervisor and trainer. He lived a full life, loved his beagles, lumberjacking, and timber sports.

Linda was employed as a Direct Care Assistant for Partners for Quality, Inc. and was a member of Holy Trinity Church of McKeesport.

A member of St. Michael Parish in Elizabeth Twp., she was a retired butcher's helper for the former M. Marraccini and Company. A former member of the Blaine Hill Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary, she was a former employee of John Lalli News and Lou's Place.
Larry "Earl" Sleith, age 57, of Forward Twp., passed away on Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at home. He was the proprietor of the family business, M & S Pallets in Forward Twp. He enjoyed going to his family camp in Normalville with his grandchildren.
