Roland Homer Reynolds, 92, of Versailles, died Thursday June 29, 2017. He was born August 31, 1924 in Versailles. Roland was the son of the late Homer S. and Mary Belle Exton Reynolds. He was the husband of the late Yvonne "Bonnie" Swartz Reynolds who died July 1, 2009. He was a member and former Sunday School teacher at the Christy Park United Methodist Church. He was also a member of Versailles American Legion Post 939, and the Thursday Old Timer Golf League where he also served as secretary. Roland scored a hole-in-one at the 9th hole at Butler's Golf Course when he was 89 years old. He was a US Army Veteran serving in the 503 Parachute Regiment from 1943-1945. Roland was retired from C.H. Lacey Plumbing and Heating Co.

Marcella Jane Majzer, 76, of Versailles, died Wednesday June 28, 2017. She was born October 8, 1940 in Tarentum and was the daughter of the late Ernest and Georgie Mae Dunn. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, James, Ernest, and Robert Dunn. She was a member of First Evangelical Free Church, McKeesport and was a volunteer at Kane Regional Center, McKeesport. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Daniel Regis Majzer, sons, Raymond D. Majzer of Versailles and Michael T. (Susan) Majzer of Mount Vernon, daughter, Linda S. Patriarco of Versailles, grandchildren, Nicole Armstrong, Amber Kasmarik, Brandon Patriarco and Taylor Majzer, great-grandchildren, Brody and Olivia Kasmarik, brother, Alfred (Kim) Dunn of Racine, WI, nieces, nephews, and her dog and best friend, Racci.

Michele Marie Trovato, 62, of Liberty Borough, died Monday June 26, 2017. She was born October 6, 1954 in McKeesport and was the daughter of the late Michael E. and Martha A. Witzell Chiaverini. Michele worked for South Allegheny High School and Nutrition Inc., and had previously worked for St. Patrick Catholic Church and the former McKeesport National Bank and G.C. Murphy Co. She was a member of the Palanese League of America in Christy Park, and was a member of the Christian Mothers at the former St. Eugene Catholic Church in Liberty Borough. Michele loved Crafting and Scrap Booking, making Jewelry and loved spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Daniel S. Trovato, daughter, Karyn (Derrick) Pope and son, Michael Trovato of Liberty Borough, sister, Cindy (George) Myers of Lincoln Borough, brother, Michael C. (Paul) Chiaverini of West Bloomfield, MI, grandchildren, Devyn Pope and Alayna Palochko, nephew, Allen (Brittney) Myers, great nephew, Hudson Myers, and cousins.

William A. "Bill" Balogh, 92, of Jefferson Hills, passed away Saturday June 24, 2017. He was born May 14, 1925 in McKeesport and was the youngest of three sons of the late Gabor and Mary Szekely Balogh. Bill was a lifelong member of the Free Hungarian Reformed Church n McKeesport and served as a church elder for 20 years. This is where he met his future wife, Irene Orosz. They married on June 19, 1948 in McKeesport. Irene passed away on October 19, 2011. They were married for 63 years.He was a dedicated and loving caretaker for Irene in the last years of her life. Bill was a 57 member of Stephen Bayard Lodge 526 F & AM, and served as Worshipful Master and Treasurer. He was a member of the Masonic Veterans, the Tall Cedars of Lebanon, McKeesport Forest, and was also a 32 degree Mason with the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite of Freemasonry, Valley of Pittsburgh .

She was born September 8, 1927 in Jefferson Borough and was the daughter of the late James and Nora Mahoney Allen. She was the wife of the late Grant V. Mitchell, Jr., who died August 2009. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Clairton, Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 316, and the Elizabeth Township Senior Citizens. Marion was a former Home Health Care Nurse' Aid and was also a former Activities Coordinator at Lifespan. She was an avid Steelers fan and was always decked out in black and gold. She is survived by her loving sons, Grant (Linda) Mitchell of Elizabethtown, and Patrick Mitchell of Marietta, loving daughters, Jacqueline (John) Evans of Brownsville, Denise Mitchell of Elizabeth Twp., and Rebecca (Tony) Mitchell-Perry of Clairton, 8 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren that she loved and adored dearly.

He was also on the high school baseball team, the American Legion baseball team, the All American Baseball team and the St. Vincent fall baseball team. "If anyone knows me they know I am a strong woman, but here is a little history.

"I graduated from high school in 1967, that same week I started in the mill in the business planning department, I started running a multilith machine. In 1969 the consent decree was passed and women could apply for non traditional jobs in the plant. I was the first woman awarded the job as a laborer. To my chagrin, the men were not happy to have me. My first job....clean out the railroad cars. I had a ladder to climb in, once inside I had no way out. Oh, and by the way, no bathroom. I also held a job as the acid tester, still no bathroom and no other women.

Ross Gillingham Sr., and the late Carrie Shaffer Gillingham. Lois was a very active member of the Mount Vernon Community Presbyterian Church in Elizabeth Township.  She was a retired Ticket Agent for the former TWA airlines and worked there for over  40 years. She hated BINGO. She is survived by her nieces, Carol (Lowell) Piekert, Patty (Dennis) Mooney, and Carolyn (Tom) Getsie, nephew, Tom (Joe Levy) Gillingham, great-nieces, Megan (Peter) Moen, and their children Zach and Emily, Carrie (Chris) Gergley and their son Carson, Sarah (Daniel) Surovchak and their daughter, Emery Grace,  and Katy Getsie, and great nephews, Scott and Brian Getsie and Adam Kinney. She was preceded in death by her cherished siblings and their spouses: Jane (Tom) Turner and A. Ross (Dee) Gillingham, Jr. and her niece, Janet Turner.
