Marjorie A. Popham, 90, of Boston, passed away Monday, February 6, 2023. She was born January 24, 1933 in Somerset, KY., and was the daughter of the late Ford and Drucilla McClure. She was the wife of the late Kenneth Alton Popham who passed away February 26, 2009. Marjorie was a member of the Boston United Methodist Church. She is survived by her daughter, Linda and her husband The Rev. Ronald Fleming of Boston, grandsons, Gary W. (Tammy Locy and her children, Devin Drennen, Faith and Seth Locy) Popham, Jr., and Brian (Amanda) Fleming, great-grandchildren, Gary W. Popham, III., Carly Nicole Popham, Conor A. Brian Paul Smith, 69, of Boston, passed away Sunday, February 5, 2023. He was born May 22, 1953 in Pittsburgh and was the son of the late Howard A. and Elizabeth "Betty" (Schaar) Smith. Brian was a Painter and was proprietor of "The Paint Smith".
He is survived by his wife, Juanita "Nita" A. (Belmares) Smith, son, Michael (Rachel) Smith of Mount Lebanon, daughters, Christina Marie Smith of Baldwin and Brianna Smith of Liberty Borough, grandchildren, Kyle (Melissa) Smith, Angela (Scott) Rissler, Christianna Martinez, Ellie Smith, Amaya Gabriel, Antonio Martinez, Adam Gabriel, and Mikey Martinez, brother, Howard E. Born May 25, 1935 in Pittsburgh, she was a daughter of the late Elviro and Yolanda (Campea) Amore and wife of the late Harry Leroy "Peck" Fuller. She is survived by nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and great-great-nieces and nephews. Michele Nicole Malter, 39, of Elizabeth Township, passed away Sunday, February 5, 2023. She was born August 10, 1983 in Pittsburgh and is the daughter of Gary J. Scott of Pittsburgh, and the late Deborah L. Lori. Michele graduated from Keystone Oaks High School and worked as a Retail Cashier at the Dollar General in Boston. She loved traveling, fishing, and most of all, she enjoyed the quality time spent with her family. She was the wife to the late Joshua Joseph Malter, who passed away in February 23, 2017. She is survived by her children, Devon A. and Brianna L. Malter; siblings, Heather T. Scott of Pittsburgh, Cindy A. Barbara A. Sanderson, age 73, of Elizabeth, formerly of McKeesport, died February 4, 2023, with her family by her side, at AHN Jefferson Hospital. Born April 4, 1949, in McKeesport, she was the daughter of the late Bernard and Elizabeth (Fleming) Thomas and the wife of Wayne A. Sanderson.
Barb retired from Forbes Regional Hospital of Monroeville, where she was a Lab Technician. She was a member of Saints Joachim and Anne Parish of Elizabeth. Barb was a volunteer at Kane Regional Hospital of McKeesport for many years. She truly enjoyed sharing her time with the patients. Barb was an animal lover as well, leaving behind her loyal dogs Zeus and Cash. She enjoyed shopping and always looked forward to spending time with her grandchildren, especially on their lunch dates.

Kathy Louise Stanley, 62, of McKeesport passed away Sunday, February 5, 2023. She was born January 26, 1961 in Wilkinsburg, and was the daughter to the late Albert Obies, Sr., and the late Betty May Hockenbery-Bergman. Kathy was a very giving, loving, and fun mother, grandmother & great-grandmother. She was always the neighborhood mom, and her house was always the place to be for the kids to hang out growing up. She loved listening to James Taylor, playing Bingo, going on shopping trips, and passing time by playing games on her phone. She would snack on Milky Way bars and would eat the whole bag if her family would let her. She loved spending time with her whole family the most. Kathy always said she had 6 children, but one of them had 4 legs because her dog, Pickles, was her best friend.

Elizabeth “Betty” Margaret Rose (Lauman) Rhodes, 84 of Elizabeth Township, passed away on Saturday, February 4th, 2023, at Jefferson Hospital. She was born in Bedfordshire, England on August 3rd, 1938. Betty was the loving wife to the late Eugene M. Rhodes. She is survived by her daughter Alice (Wesley) Moyle of Youngwood, and sons Steve (Suzanne) Rhodes of Glassport and Eugene Rhodes of Elizabeth Township. Betty is further survived by grandchildren Ozzy, Amber, Betty Jean, Samantha, Wesley, Zairra, Christopher, Milah, Billy, Brandon, and Brittany, as well as great-grandchildren Kassidy, Logan, and Bowen. Additional relatives include her siblings Darla, Joyce, Sheila, and Cyril. She enjoyed playing the piano, sewing, knitting, and crocheting beautiful blankets for those she loved. She was born July 9, 1944 in the former St. Mary's Hospital in McKeesport and was the daughter of the late John C. and Audrey L. (Black) Pringle. Loretta was a member of St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church and was also a member of the Teamster's Local Union. She was also a member of the former St. Pius V Catholic Church in McKeesport. Loretta was a Nurse's Aid at McKeesport Hospital for over 30 years and was a graduate of McKeesport High School Class of 1962.

Alice Ruth Gallingane, 72, of Blythedale, passed away Friday, February 3, 2023. She was born December 26, 1950 in Avon Park, FL., and was the daughter of the late Rev. Remo H. and Tena Ruth (Johnson) Pletcher. She was a life long member of the Buena Vista United Presbyterian Church, and was also a member of Blythedale Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary, Yough PTA and Jefferson Hospital Health Council. Alice was in the first 6th grade class of the former Yough Elementary School and her son Christian was in the last 6th grade class there.
