“And when he shall die, take him and cut him out in little stars, and he will make the face of heaven so fine, that all the world shall love the night.”

Fiore DiMarco of Whitehall passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 14 at the age of 90. He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Patricia Ejchost DiMarco, his son Rev. Anthony J. DiMarco of New London, CT, and daughter, Susan Hartman of Whitehall. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Keri, Jordan and Marshall Hartman. He was preceded in death by his parents, Marco and Giovanna Marcozzi DiMarco, his brothers, Joseph, Dominic, Samuel and Orlando, and sister Rose Kennedy. Fiore was born in Glassport, graduated from Glassport High School, attended Penn State University, and retired from General Motors, Fisher Body. Fiore was a dedicated family man, who always put his family first- helping, loving, and caring. He showed us how to love. He showed us how to live and he showed us how to die. His passing marks the end of a family of first generation immigrants who made our country better for their coming here. He was one of many excellent Americans whose spirit and labor made this country thrive. He enjoyed wonderful times with his family and left us with many happy memories of his smile, his laughter, his teaching and his wisdom. As long as life and memory last we will remember him. We are especially grateful to Doctors Jalil, Fazal, and Bramowitz and to PA Amber Bussard for their patient attention to his health and welfare. We will be forever grateful for giving us as much time as possible with Fiore. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, February 18 at 10:00 a.m. at Saints Joachim and Anne, Queen of the Rosary church by his son, Rev. Anthony DiMarco, with burial to follow at New St. Joseph’s Cemetery, North Versailles. When the nights are cold and the stars are few, we’ll close our eyes and think of you. We’ll shed a silent tear and a silent wish that you were here. Good Night Sweet Prince – may flights of angels lead you into God’s Heavenly Kingdom.
