Merle Judd, 97, of White Oak, passed away on Wednesday, November 28, 2018. He was born August 15, 1921 in McKeesport and was the son of the late David and Sally (Spitz) Judd. He was proprietor of Judd Refrigeration and was a US Army Veteran serving in WWII as a Corporal in the 27th Calvary. In 1945, he was seriously wounded in Okinawa, Japan and spent 7 months recovering in an Army Hospital.For his service, he received 2 Purple Hearts and the Medal of Honor. Merle was a member of White Oak American Post 701, and was a life member of the former Swinging Swedish Society. He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Shirley A. (Walker) Judd, son, David (Neva) Judd of Rogers, Arkansas, daughter, Jody Vavrek of Versailles, stepsons, Guy (Judy) Criado of White Oak, and Gregg (Mary) Criado of Elizabeth Township, 7 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Genevieve “Ginny” Margaret Gusky Mihalov, 93, of Clairton, passed away peacefully, in her sleep, Saturday, December 1, 2018. She was born September 30, 1925 in Shadyside, OH to the late Stanley and Josephine Mackwiecz Gusky. Ginny was the loving wife of the late Laurence “Larry” J. Mihalov who passed away in 2012. She is survived by daughters, Linda (John) Donnelly of Clairton, Kristine (Sven) Nelson of Denver, CO; grandchildren, Kristy-Lynne, Sven Jr., Holly, Patrick, Bridget, Alex; 7 great-grandchildren; brother John (Wanita) Gusky; sister-in-law, Mary Ann Michaels; nieces and nephews. Along with her parents and husband, Ginny was preceded in death by sisters, Lois Kanda, Pearl Martin; brothers, Charles Gusky and Stanley Gusky. She was a member of Ascension of Our Lord Byzantine Catholic Church in Clairton, AARP Clairton Chapter # 1612. Ginny loved playing games with her grandchildren, was an excellent seamstress who enjoyed sewing for herself and her family, made the very best apple pie, was an avid reader as well as an enthusiastic traveler, visiting Europe, Asia, the Holy Land, North and Central America. Visitation will take place Tuesday, December 4, 2018 from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 pm at S. M. FINNEY FUNERAL HOME, 432 N. 6th Street, Clairton, PA 15025. A memorial service will take place at the funeral home on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at 10 am followed by interment at Ascension Cemetery in Clairton. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to The Salvation Army, Western PA Division, PO Box 742, Carnegie, PA 15106. Sandra Booher Wootton, 80, of North Huntingdon passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family following a long illness. She was born on December 29, 1937 in Pitcairn, to the late Dorothy and Chester Booher. Sandra spent her life dedicated to her family and her community. In 1959 she graduated from California State Teaching College and began teaching in White Oak, then moved to the Norwin School District where she taught kindergarten and substituted for many years. She was also a Sunday school teacher and board member at Christ United Presbyterian Church and a Girl Scout and Boy Scout leader. She is survived by her loving husband of over 60 years, Enoch "Woody" Wootton; her children, Jeffrey (Shery) Wootton, Sharyl Dickie (the late Robert Dickie) and Cristine (David) Dempsey; grandchildren, Greg Thomas, Scott (Stephanie) Swanson, and Chelsea Dempsey; great-grandsons, Brenden and Owen Swanson; brother, Donald (Lana) Booher; numerous nieces and nephews; and her partner-in-crime, Max (Puggle). Friends will be received at the James W. Shirley Funeral Home, 176 Clay Pike, North Huntingdon on Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. A funeral service will take place on Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. During the service, there will be a time to share memories of Sandra. Interment to follow in Penn Lincoln Memorial Park. On Monday November 26, 2018 Sally Ann Nolder passed away at the age of 79 after a long illness. Sally was an avid volunteer. She spent years volunteering at McKeesport Hospital as well as the Children's Institute, Children's Home and Lemieux Family Center. Sally loved gardening,traveling and spending time with family and friends. She will forever be remembered by her husband Howard and her children Scott, Sue (Jim) and Doug (Philip) and grandchildren Justin (Marcia), Ryan (Meghan) and Josh (Lauren), and great grandaughter Haley.Sally will also be remembered by her sisters, Yuvone and Jennifer (Joe) and many nieces, nephews, her extended family, and dear friends. She was born May 12, 1928 in Johnstown, Pa., a daughter of the late Lawrence and Mary (Marshall) Wesner. Mary “Candy” Klotz, 92, most recently of Silver Spring, MD, passed away in her sleep on November 28, 2018, surrounded by those she loved. Born in McKeesport, PA, to the late Michael and Berthe “Bessie” Sidor Wargo, Mary was a resident of Duquesne for 15 years before moving to Munhall, where she resided with her beloved husband, Michael J. Klotz, until his death in 2011. She was a member of St. Peter and Paul Byzantine Church in Duquesne. As a homemaker, Mary is best remembered for her sparkling clean home, and cooking and baking skills. Family and neighbors looked forward to bountiful platters of homemade cookies and baked goods for the holidays, and it was not uncommon for her to hand-deliver casseroles of her secret macaroni and cheese dish to neighbors throughout the year. Ahead of the times, she practiced yoga and began studying the health benefits of herbs and food as medicine in the 1960’s.

Jackowski. Tammy was a former manager for the former Tube City IMS of West Mifflin, now TMS International. She enjoyed playing darts and was member of the dart league at Annie’s Hitching Post in Port Vue.
