Aaron Plecenik, 36,  of Wheeling, WV, formerly of North Huntingdon, passed away March 19, 2019. He was a graduate of Norwin Senior High School, class of 2000.  Aaron was an electrician who loved his trade.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing his guitar and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers Fan.  His best hobbies were his son, Aaron Jr., age 9 and daughter, Nevada, age 8.  He is survived by his loving and caring wife, Lisa James Plecenik; parents, Dennis and Sherri Plecenik; older brother, Adam Plecenik; grandmother, Sophie Smith; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.  A gathering will take place on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.  followed by a memorial service at 1 p.m. at the James W. John J. "Jack" Olek Jr., 89, of North Huntingdon, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, March 25, 2019. He was born March 13, 1930 in McKeesport and was the son of the late John J. Olek Sr., and the late Sophia (Sherwin) Olek. Jack was a member of Corpus Christi Parish in McKeesport and was a retired Supervisor of Budgets and Statistics at Duquesne Light Co. He was a graduate of Duquesne University. Jack loved his vegetable garden, planting flowers, working around the house, and the Pittsburgh Steelers, Penguins, and Pirates.

Ciehanoski, age 92 of Clairton and formerly of Whitehall, passed away on Sunday, March 24, 2019 in Lawson's Nursing Home in Jefferson Hills.  Born August 2, 1926 in Canonsburg, he was a son of the late Peter and Anna (Gostawska) Ciechanowski.  A US Navy Veteran of World War II and retiree from J&L Steel in Pittsburgh, John was a former member of St. Patrick's Church in Canonsburg and a member of the Polish National Alliance of Washington, PA.  He joins his wife of 24 years, the late Dolores (Laskowski) Ciehanoski, who passed away May 28, 1990.  John in survived by his daughter Kristina (Steve Perunko) Ciehanoski of Clairton, his grandson Ryan (Tina Zaborowski) Lippert of West Mifflin, his great-grand-puppies Remy and Bella, and also nieces and nephews.

Store, Kennywood Parks' Penny Arcade and managed the Beauty Fair in Duquesne. She loved playing cards, games, casino trips, reading and doing for her family and loved working cryptoquote puzzles and ballroom dancing with her husband. She was the former chairman of the Duquesne Democratic Women's Club, former president of the former Holy Name Mother's Club and former First Lady of the City of Duquesne. Beloved wife of 70 years to Melvyn “Mel” Achtzehn; mother of Cheryl (Eugene) Dudash of Davie, FL, Lori Achtzehn of White Oak, Bonnie (Dr. James) Acuff of McCandless Twp., and Guy (Marcy) Achtzehn of York, PA; grandmother of Bethany (Ed) Toland, Nicole Dudash, Heather (John) Blakeney, Haley Acuff, Megan and Sydney Achtzehn; also survived by her special cousin, Ada Genito. Visitation on Tuesday, 6-8 p.m. and Wednesday, 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., at the MALOY- SCHLEIFER FUNERAL HOME , 915 Kennedy Ave., Duquesne, PA 412-466-3300 where a blessing service will be held Thursday at 9:30 a.m., followed by Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Name Church of Christ the Light of the World Parish at 10 a.m. Rev. Stephen C. Bill, age 91 of North Huntingdon  died March 23, 2019 at Forbes Regional Hospital. He was born February 28, 1928 in McKeesport, a son of the late Steve and Evelyn Vanetta  Bill. Prior to his retirement Stephen was employed by Teledyne Firth Sterling. He was a veteran of WWII having served in the US Navy as a Seabee, a member of Beulah Park Methodist Church and enjoyed spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his wife Maxine Hennessey Bill and one sister, Virginia Puskeric. He is survived by one son Brian Bill (Melissa), three daughters,  Stephanie Miller, Paula Mercalde (William), Marcella Duke (Jay), one brother, Walter Bill  (Marjorie) , 5 grandchildren Steven (Andrea), Craig (Amy), Justin (Nancy),Derrick (Aish), Jacob and 6 great grandchildren. Margaret A. "Peg"  Bryer, 76, of McKeesport, passed away Friday, March 22, 2019. She was born October 30, 1942 in McKeesport and was the daughter of the late  Frank  and Esther Goins Marzina.  She was the wife of the late Raymond E. "Butch" Bryer who passed away May 12, 2009.  She worked many years as manager of the gift shops in UPMC Shadyside Hospital and UPMC Mercy Hospital, as well as being an administrative assistant for Rotorooter. She was a member of the former St. Martin DePores Church in McKeesport. She loved traveling, bowling, playing cards and going to the casino. She was an avid reader, enjoyed crocheting and going thrift store shopping.

Gwaley, 94 of North Huntingdon, went to be with the Lord on March 22, 2019.  She is the daughter of the late Rudy and Mary Mocibob and wife of the late Calvin Gwaley.  Olivia is survived by her son David (Kathleen) Gwaley; grandsons Jonathan (Hope) Gwaley and Jason (Rachel) Gwaley and great grandson Finnley.  She was preceded in death by her sister Natalie Kaftal.  Friends received Wojciechowski Funeral Home, Glassport, Tues. from 9 to 10:00 am, at which time a funeral service will be held.  Interment following Penn Lincoln Memorial Park.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to McKeesport Hospital Foundation.

Agnes Helen Hornak, 90, died Friday, March 22, 2019. She was born July 16,1928, daughter of the late John and Anna Kuchel of East McKeesport. She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Richard, who died January 26, 2019. She is survived by two twin daughters, Marcie Reese (Barry) and Cheryl Saylor (Michael); and grandchildren, Christopher (Dana), Claire, Dylan (Anastasia) and Evan; and great-grandson Axel. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers John and William Kuchel. Agnes was happy and content in her role as wife and homemaker. She was a wonderful mother who set a great example of treating people with respect and living a life without the need for extravagance. She and her husband Dick spent over fifty years enjoying their cottage on Lake Erie as often as possible with family and friends. A private family funeral is planned. Jerome Wright, 84, of North Huntingdon, passed away Friday, March 22, 2019.  He was born June 15, 1934 in Pittsburgh, a son of the late Walter W. and Sophie Wright.  Prior to his retirement, Jerry was an information systems manager for WESCO and a veteran of the US Army.  He was a member of St. Agnes Parish and enjoyed attending air shows, train shows, all Norwin community events and spending time with his grandchildren.  He is survived by his loving wife, Jane Schroer Wright; sons, Walter Wright and his wife, Bridget, Jerry Wright Jr. and his wife, Faith; daughters, Marsha Meyers, Kathy Novacek and her husband, Dave; grandchildren, Charlie (Jamie), Brianna, A.J. Randi, Katie, Tally; great-granddaughter, Savannah; and sister, Lori Whelan.  Friends will be received on Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the James W.
