Mary (Vockley) Koshut, 92, of Duquesne, peacefully fell asleep in the Lord on Friday, August 16, 2019. Born November 28, 1926 she was the daughter of the late Mile and Bozicha Vijaklija. She was the beloved wife of the late William Joseph Koshut. She is survived by two sons, William John (Lynn) Koshut, and Thomas Michael (Erin) Koshut , a daughter, Theresa Koshut, and four grand children, Cara, William Joseph, Mary Addison, and Samuel Koshut. She was a member of SS. Peter and Paul Byzantine Catholic Church, Duquesne.

He was a retired millwright at U.S. Steel National Tube in McKeesport and a U.S. Navy Veteran of Vietnam. He was a member of the Smithton American Legion Post #790 and an avid tournament pool player in the APA League.

THEODORE M. "BUD" SCHORR age 97, of West Mifflin, on August 16, 2019 at the home of his son. He was a son of the late Theodore and Irene (Manns) Schorr. Bud was retired from US Steel Duquense Work. A member of St. Joseph's Church, Duquense. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, writing to people and traveling. He proudly served his country in the Navy during World War II; husband of the late Mary Jane (Dougherty) Schorr; father of Janice Schorr of Salt Lake City, Utah and Paul (Amy) Schorr of West Mifflin; also five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren; brother of Jerry Schorr of White Oak, Rene (late Jim) Eisenhuth of Boalsburg, PA, the late Alberta Schorr, late Walter Schorr, late Theresa (late Bob) Fontanese, late Dolores (late Joseph) McKenna and late Mary (late Thomas) McAraw. Visitation Monday, August 19th from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. at the MALOY-SCHLEIFER FUNERAL HOME, 915 Kennedy Ave. Duquense 412-466-3300 where a blessing service will be held on Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. followed by Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph's Church at 10 a.m. Celebrated by his nephews, Rev. Theresa P. King, age 88, of West Mifflin passed away on August 16, 2019. She was born in McKeesport on Sept. 12, 1930. She was preceded in death by her parents, Peter and Nellie (Opilowski) Pobojeski, and 13 brothers and sisters. She was retired from Equitable Gas Company after 34 years in billing. She is survived by her loving daughter, Tracy King of Denver, CO, her grand dog Lola, and nieces and nephews. Services will be private. Col. Eugene Stanley Lynch, 85, of Springfield, Va., died August 6, 2019. He was the son of Charles and Viola Lynch.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 62 years, Virginia Lynch who he referred to her as honey or sweetie and first met her as part of his First Holy Communion class 14 years earlier; sons Michael E. Lynch, William S. Lynch, Brian Lynch; daughters Kathleen Pepper, Pamela Ott; grandchildren, Jeremiah, Sammy, and Kristopher Pepper, Michelle Appel and Matthew Lynch, Courtney and Julianna Ott; great grandchildren Ben and Alexis Pepper; brother Henry Lynch; sister Eleanor Nigro; and wonderful nephews and nieces. Gene was predeceased by his brothers Carl and Leonard Lynch, sister Dolores Gabany.
Gene was a Cadet at West Point as part of the Class of 1956. He attended daily Mass at the Catholic Chapel which helped him throughout his four years. He was an excellent athlete and loved playing intramural sports with lacrosse being his favorite. He was a US Army Ranger Paratrooper in the 11th Airborne Division. He served in the Field Artillery during the Vietnam war. During his military service Gene coached his children’s sports teams and teaching his players the fundamentals. Coach Lynch immensely enjoyed his players improvements over the course of the season and his players loved playing for him. He served as an Usher and handed out bulletins at church.
After retiring from the Army in 1982, Colonel Lynch worked for Applied Research Corporation on NASA programs and later for Metters Industries rising to Chief Operating Officer until retiring from private industry.
