Tommy was a graduate of South Allegheny High School. He was a pre-press manager at Comprint Inc in Gaithersburg, MD. After spending 19 years in the Washington, DC area, Tommy returned home. Soon he became involved in coaching youth football with the South Allegheny Youth Football Association. He loved coaching and was recognized with the Pittsburgh Steelers MVP Award for his commitment to the Association and the players despite his many health issues. In addition, the Tom Mawritz Extra Effort Award was created by the Association and is given each year to the player who never quits trying. Tommy was also an avid Pitt fan and will be missed by all who knew him.
Tommy was preceded in death by his beloved brother Dr. Kenneth J Mawritz Sr. He is survived by his sister Nancy (Mawritz) George and her husband Joseph of Germantown, MD; sister-in-law Natalie (Shadwick) Mawritz of Collegeville, PA; nephews Kenneth Mawritz Jr. and his wife Mary of Havertown, PA, Jason George of Rockville, MD, Brendan George of New York City, NY, niece Holly L. Mawritz and her husband Jonathan Goodroad of Glenside PA; and his five grandnephews and niece Logan, Liam, Lucas, Levi and Madeleine.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his memorial service at Wojciechowski Funeral Home 640 Vermont Ave. Glassport, PA on Saturday July 20, 2019 from Noon to 1:30 pm, at which time a funeral blessing will be held. Burial will be held privately. In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 26 Broadway 14th floor, New York, NY 10004.

Mary T. Schmidt, age 93, of Trafford, formerly of Christy Park, died June 30, 2019, at Transitions Healthcare of North Huntingdon. Born May 27, 1926, in Dravosburg, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Genevieve (Redding) Stinson and the wife of the late Harry D. Schmidt.

Hilda Janelle Brown, 82, of Boston, Elizabeth Twp., passed away on Wednesday, June 26, 2019. She was born in Ninety Six, South Carolina, on January 2, 1937, a daughter to the late Robert and Alma (Stribling) Hall.
She was a loving and giving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and will be forever loved and missed.
She is survived by her three sons, Daniel E., David J., and Donald T., of Boston; two daughters, Debbie (Anthony) Mattie of Glassport and Dana (Michael) Younge of Elizabeth Twp.; proud Gram of her six grandchildren, Ernie Raymer, Michael, Marissa and Max Younge and Morgan and Maxine Mattie; three great-grandchildren, Sophia, Olivia and Greyson; and her three sisters, Miriam Third, Mary Nichols, and Norma Jean (John) McLemore.

Adrienne Ann Kapisak of Greensburg, formerly of Port Vue and White Oak, died Sunday, June 30, 2019. She was born in McKeesport, PA on June 25, 1943 and is the daughter of the late John and Anna Pribish Kapisak. She is survived by cousins and friends.
She graduated from McKeesport Hight School, Class of 1961, the Indiana University of PA with a BS in Ed., and received her M.Ed. from the University of Pittsburgh. Adrienne pursued further education during her teaching career though National Science Foundation grants at various schools throughout the United States.

Marjorie June Glancy Brannan, age 93, of N. Versailles, PA, died at home surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, June 29, 2019. She was the daughter of the late Raymond V. and Harriet Murphy Glancy and was born in Gallitzin, PA on July 6, 1925.
She was married for 53 years to the late Edward J. Brannan who died January 29, 2002. She is survived by her children, Kenneth (Rhonda) Brannan of Annapolis, MD; Robert (the late Sheree) Brannan of Pasadena, MD; Maureen (the late Andrew) Ryan of Wall, PA; Lorraine (Gene) Rizzo of N. Versailles; Bernadette (David) Galinskie of Shiremanstown, PA; Christine (Michael) Reed of Chapel Hill, NC; grandchildren, Andrea Murajda; Jonathan (Emily) Brannnan; Elaine (Dan) Fisher; Vincent Brannan; Ellen (Craig) Wilson; Emmalynn Galinskie; Lucas Reed; Elise Galinskie; Kaitlyn Reed. Also, great grandchild, Layla Wilson and step grandson, Jay (Aimee) Murphy; step great-grandchildren, Kate and Sarah Murphy and sisters; Dolores Sylvestor of Columbia, S. Carolina, Romaine (Joseph) Boley of Hollidaysburg, PA and many loving and caring nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sisters and brothers-in-law, Virginia and Walter Buck and Betty and Howard Anstead.
Marjorie graduated in 1943 as a Registered Nurse from Ohio Valley General Hospital and continued as an employee. While raising her children she was employed by McKeesport Hospital and the former Columbia Hospital located in Wilkinsburg. She was very active in volunteering for her children’s school and church, St. Robert Bellarmine. She was involved with the Girls Scouts of Western PA while serving as a leader for over 25 years and then serving on the Catholic Committee on Scouting for more than 40 years. Marjorie also volunteered for many years at St. Peter’s Child Development Center working with special needs children. She volunteered for the East Allegheny Meals-On-Wheels well into her nineties.

James E. Burnsworth, Jr., age 71 of Clairton, passed away at home on Friday, June 28, 2019. Born April 28, 1948 in McKeesport, he was a son of the late James E. Burnsworth, Sr. and Mary P. (DiFazio) Burnsworth. A self employed truck driver, James also worked at Gulf Materials in Braddock. He enjoyed spending his free time working on his truck, and he was a loving father, grandfather, and uncle. He is survived by his wife Rhoda (Gurner) Burnsworth; his children Payton Burnsworth of Clairton and Marc Burnsworth of Lawrence, KS; his grandson Riley Burnsworth of Lawrence, KS; his siblings Mary Ann Falk of Finleyville, Sandy Elder of Clairton, and Joe Burnsworth of Rostraver Twp.; nephew Jordon Burnsworth and other nieces and nephews.
