Patricia A. Holko, 78 of West Mifflin, died Jan. 30, 2019. She is the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Bellucci) Galenus and beloved wife of the late William M. Holko. Trish is survived by her son William (Kim) Holko; daughter Lisa (Russell) Stover; grandchildren Joey, Jennifer, Emily and Jess; great grandchildren Riley, Krystof and Ryan and was preceded in death by her brother Richard Galenus. Trish was a member of Christ the Light of the World Parish. Friends received Teichart-Gracan Funeral Home, Duquesne, Sat. Feb. 9, 2019 from 1 to 3 pm. A funeral blessing will be held Sat. at 2:00 pm with Father Tom Lewandowsky.

Janis “Janny” (Morantz) Weiss, 72, of White Oak, died Wednesday, January 30, 2019. She was born October 13, 1946, in McKeesport, and was the beloved daughter of the late William “Billy” Morantz and Sadie (Lebowitz) Morantz. She is survived by her sister, Marilyn Weinblum of White Oak; nieces, Amy Weinblum, of Santa Monica, California, and Danielle (Weinblum) Reilly, of Irwin; and numerous loving cousins and friends. Janny was a former employee of her family business and was adored by her customers at Green Valley Cleaners. She was a former member of the Tree of Life Sfard Congregation and its Sisterhood. Graveside service will be held at 11:00 am. on Sunday, February 3 at Elrod/Tree of Life Sfard Cemetery, with Rabbi Paul Tuchman officiating. Helen M. Magdic, 82, long time resident of Duquesne/West Mifflin, passed away Sunday January 27, 2019 at Shady Side Hospital. She was the daughter of the late Sam and Lottie Rokich. Helen was preceded in death by her husband Thomas Magdic and her sisters Gladys George and Dorothy Bursac both of Barberton, Ohio . She is survived by her son Steven Magdic of North Huntingdon and sisters Mildred McVey and Yvonne Obradovich both of Barberton, Ohio. She was an active member of the Croatian Fraternal Union Lodge 320 Duquesne. “Teta” Helen will be sadly missed by all members of her Ohio family as well as her Magdic family nieces and nephews here in Pa. Edward J. Osada, Jr., 76 ,of Glassport died Jan. 29, 2019. He is the son of the late Edward J. "Pickles" (Hilda Dudley) Osada, Sr. He is survived by his beloved wife Frances (Wesolek) Osada; daughter Kimberly (Randy) Adams; son Robert (Jessica) Osada; grandchildren Scott and Laura Adams and Jackson Osada; sisters Jean Ann Osada and Diane Stinner; sister-in-law Edna Monper; also nieces, nephews and cousins. Edward was a retired firefighter for Allegheny County. He was a graduate of CCAC; a member of PNA, American Legion and the Masons. He was a lifetime member of Reliance Hose Co. #2 and was a boy scout leader where he devoted time as an assistant scout master for Troop 296 and served in the US Army. Friends received Wojciechowski Funeral Home, Glassport, Thurs. from 2-8. A funeral service will be held Fri. 11:00 am in the funeral home with Rev. Hal Dangel. Richard John Hornak, 89, died on January 26, 2019. He was born on July 4, 1929 in Pittsburgh, son of the late John J. and Anna M. Hornak. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Agnes H. (Kuchel) Hornak; his twin daughters, Marcie Reese (Barry), Cheryl Saylor (Michael); and grandchildren, Christopher (Dana), Claire, Dylan (Anastasia) and Evan; and one great-grandson, Axel. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Dr. Robert A. Hornak. Richard proudly served in the US Navy and graduated from Duquesne University. For most of his working years, he was employed by Westinghouse as an industrial engineer. He was an avid outdoorsman enjoying both hunting and fishing. The Lake Erie family cottage brought him great joy for over 50 years. He spent every summer weekend there with his Crooked Creek family of friends and called it the "most beautiful place on earth." James F. Winkles, Age 84, formerly of East McKeesport, entered the kingdom of heaven on January 26, 2019. Jim served our country in the US Army, served as an East McKeesport police officer, and retired from LTV Inc. after 30 years. He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in North Versailles. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Janice (Eisaman) Winkles; his son Greg Winkles and wife Cindy; his daughter Lori Zapf and son-in-law Joseph; his granddaughters, Rachel and Alexis; siblings Earl Winkles and Mary Voytko; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
