Carl DiGiorgio, 76, of Port Vue died July 8, 2018.  He is the son of the late Joseph and Adelina (Cannelli) DiGiorgio and beloved husband of Sheila (Moriarty) DiGiorgio.  He is survived by his sons Anthony (Jill Gashel) DiGiorgio and Carl (Diane) DiGiorgio; grandchildren Vincent and Samantha DiGiorgio; step grandchildren Kayla and Abbey Burt; brother Matthew DiGiorgio; sisters Carmella Ferraro and Norma Reza; also nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by brother Joseph DiGiorgio and sister Dora Jones.  Carl was the owner/operator of DiGiorgio Super Duper Market and served in the US Army.  Friends received Wojciechowski Funeral Home, Glassport, Wed. 2-4 and 6-8.  A funeral service will be held Thurs. 10:00 am at the funeral home.  Interment following Mt. Vernon Cemetery.

Arcolina “Carole” Ann Folino Angotti, 86, of Baldwin, formerly of Clairton, passed away Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at Lawson’s Personal Care Home in Jefferson Hills.  She was born July 31, 1931, in McKeesport, to the late Frank and Mariangela Vescio Folino.  She was the loving wife of 40 yrs. to the late Joseph P. Angotti who passed away in 1993.  Carole is survived by daughters, Angela (Richard) Jenkins & Paula Gori both of Clairton, Sandra Smaniotto of Uniontown, Debbie (Earl) Kleckner of McMurray; grandchildren, Frankie, Richard, Jennifer, Gina (Jason), Melanie, Angela, E.J., Natalie; great-grandchildren, Dejah, Nikko, Gisele, Anton, Mason, Bella, Tyler, Zander; sister, Grace McGrew of Greensburg and brother, Bernard Folino and many nieces and nephews.  Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by sisters, Eva DeMaio, Frances Folino, and Virginia Luft. Carole lived 64 years of her life in Clairton, was the sole proprietor of Carole’s Tax Service in Clairton, was a member of St. Clare of Assisi Church, enjoyed watching her grandchildren engage in sporting events and dance recitals/competitions, bingo and baking.  Private viewing and service was entrusted to S. Ronald F. "Ron"  Morgenstern, 91, of Elizabeth Township, died Friday, July 6, 2018 at home.  He was born February 6, 1927 in Greenock and was the son of  the late Jacob and Bertha Burland Morgenstern. He was husband of the late Audrey (Schriber) Morgenstern.  Ron was retired from management at US Steel for many years and was a member of Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Greenock. Ron was a US Army WWII Veteran. Ron was involved in many activities throughout his life. He was a charter member of Greenock Fire Company, former member of the Elizabeth Township Planning Commission,  past president of the Elizabeth Forward School Board and past president and member of The Elizabeth Township Historical Society, in which he was most proud of his work he did for their Lewis and Clark Expedition re-enactment. He was also caretaker of the Peace Lutheran Cemetery, Dravo Cemetery and Coulter Cemetery, as well as other local cemeteries. Ron loved researching his family history and any historical information.  He is survived by  grandson, Thomas E. (Brandis) Paull, Jr. of North Huntingdon, granddaughter, Jessica E. (Fiancé Cody Rhoades) Paull, son-in-law, Thomas E. Paull, Sr. of Boston, grandchildren, Jackson and Savannah,  many family and  friends and his dogs, Molly and Katie.

He was retired from A.B. Murray Co. and was a US Army WWII Veteran. For his service, he received the Good Conduct Medal, the Asiatic Pacific Theatre Ribbon and the WWII Victory Ribbon. He is survived by his daughter, Lori (Mark) Caro of the North Hills, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, a great-great grandson, nieces and nephews.

FRANCIS W. "BRAZ" BREZNAY age 84, of Duquesne, on July 3, 2018 at home. He was a son of the late Steve and Anna (Kish) Breznay. Braz was a retired boilermaker at US Steel Duquesne Works with 34 years service. He was a member of Holy Trinity Church, West Mifflin, and was a past president of their Men's Club. He served on Parish Council, volunteered at Children's Hospital, volunteered with Meals On Wheels, and co-chaired the 100th anniversary of Holy Trinity Church. He proudly served in the army; he was stationed in Germany where he was awarded the Guardian of the Outpost of Democracy, serving in the 6th Infantry Regiment. He was also a valued employee of the Maloy-Schleifer Funeral Home for over 15 years. He also enjoyed golfing and fishing. Beloved husband of 59 years to Jane (Bitkowski) Breznay; father of Cindy (late Duane P.) Salopek of West Mifflin and the late Stephen Breznay; grandfather of Nicole (Brandon) Salopek, Neil (Stefanie) Salopek, Melissa (Tom) Temple; great-grandfather of Lia, Adilee Salopek, Olivia McMillan, Braelynn Temple, and Jace Nathan; brother of Agnes (Jerry) Smith of Bethel Park, Pauline (William) Robinson of Crosby, TX, and the late William Breznay. Visitation will be held on Friday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the MALOY-SCHLEIFER FUNERAL HOME, 915 Kennedy Ave., Duquesne, 412-466-3300 where a Blessing Service will be held on Saturday at 9 a.m. followed by Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Trinity Church at 9:30. Rev. Thomas Lewandowski officiating. Burial will be with military honors on Monday at 2 p.m. at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
