Yvonne (Beatty) Perry, age 85, of North Versailles, passed away Thursday, December 28, 2017. She was a long-time member of Linway United Presbyterian Church in North Versailles where she taught Sunday school and participated in the women’s groups. She loved doing crafts and enjoyed painting items made of wood that her late husband made. She was known by many because of her work helping voters at the polling booths in North Versailles, and was a fan of the Pittsburgh Penguins and the Indianapolis Colts. She is preceded in death by her husband of over 49 years LeRoy C. Perry; daughter Cathy Medved; parents John Ray and Pearl (Harper) Beatty; and sisters Wanda Morris and Sharon Norris. She is survived by her daughter Dawn (Jerry) Hornyak; son-in-law Steve Medved; grandchildren Jerry (Kara) Hornyak, Joanna (Ron) Michalak, Jennifer (Kris) Kovarik, Christopher (Jessica) Medved and Rebecca (Ryan) Shearer; and great grandchildren Emma, Jacob, Bailey, Brennan, Travis, Austin, Ava, Christian, Brynn and Kailey.

Mark R. Smith, age 59, of McKeesport, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday December 27, 2017. He was born November 19, 1958 in McKeesport a son of Barbara (Kossuth) Smith and the late George B. Smith. He worked for many years at Ansaldo STS in Pittsburgh. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his daughter Casey Smith and her fiancée Andrew Rogowski; and brothers George (Kathy) Smith of New Stanton, Roger Smith of McKeesport and Brian (Corinda) Smith of Liberty Boro.

She was especially close with her niece, Trish. She is preceded in death by brothers, Edmund & Jim Strefeler.
