Joyce Audrey Sturgess, age 62 of McKeesport, died suddenly on Wednesday, November 29, 2017. She was born June 5, 1955 in McKeesport, the daughter of the late Paul J. and Audrey Isabelle Miller Gabriel. She was employed at Magic Creation in McKeesport. She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Paul N. Sturgess; sons, Todd Sturgess of Erie, PA, and Ryan (Mindy) Sturgess of McKeesport; grandchildren, Noah, Ella and Connor Sturgess, and McKenzie and Brooke Moody; sister, Lois Jean (Bishop William) Ilgenfritz of Kissimee, Florida; brother, Paul K. Gabriel of Texas; also nieces and nephews.

Helen Bernice “Bea” Erkel Baird, 82 of North Huntingdon passed away Sunday, November 26, 2017 . Helen was the wife of William L. Baird whom she married on August 24, 1957, he passed away on September 7, 2013. She was the daughter of Elmer P. and Catherine Naughton Erkel of McKeesport and was of the Lutheran faith.
She was a 1953 graduate of McKeesport High School. She worked at People’s Union Bank in McKeesport as a bookkeeper and was a homemaker. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 701 in White Oak.
