She is survived by her brother, Joseph Romano and his wife Audrey of McKeesport, and her nephew Larry Romano of Florida. She was preceded in death by her nephew, Joseph J. She was a member of St. Angela Merici Catholic Church in White Oak and had worked for Rite Aid Pharmacy in McKeesport and White Oak.

Albert A. Hopton, Jr., age 70, of Christy Park, died Sept. 6, 2016, at John J. Kane Regional Center. Born April 4, 1946, in McKeesport, he was the son of the late Albert Sr. and Betty (Litchfield) Hopton.
Albert was a former mill pourer at U.S. Steel Duquesne Works. He was a member of the former American Legion Post #361 in McKeesport. Albert enjoyed duck-pin bowling, playing bingo and taking trips with his family and friends at the legion. He was a beloved brother and uncle.

JANUS, 70 of Glassport, died Sept. 8, 2016.  He is the son of the late Andrew and Ann (Ondrik) Janus.  He is survived by his daughter Jody (Ray) Templer of Penn Hills and grandchildren Caitlyn and Owen.  He was preceded in death by his sister Audrey Janus.  Tom was a former member of St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church and served in the US Army.

Born April 21, 1923, in McKeesport, she was a daughter of the late George and Gertrude (McLaughlin) Krchell. Doris was a member of a traveling bowling league and enjoyed golfing as well as going to casinos. She is survived by her cousins, Kathleen Gobel, of McKeesport, Kim Burek, of McKeesport, Charles Pratt Jr., of North Huntingdon, Anthony Taylor, of McKeesport, Herbert McLaughlin, of North Huntingdon, Kristen Haynes, of Claridge, and Karen Wehrli, of North Huntingdon. Family and friends will be received from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at JAYCOX-JAWORSKI FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY. The funeral service will be 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Bishover, age 90 of McKeesport, died Thursday, September 8, 2016.  She was born in Morgantown, W.Virginia on May 19, 1926, the daughter of the late Doy and Versie (Saffle) Herron and wife of the late John Bishover.  Elizabeth retired from Kane Regional Center, McKeesport where she worked as a nurse’s aide. She was a member of Hope United Methodist Church in McKeesport.  She is survived by her daughter, Linda (Robert Doria) Dettore of Smock, PA; grandson, R. Scott (Beverly) Dettore of Belle Vernon; great grandchildren, Kayla, Brooke and Zach. She was predeceased by her siblings Ray Herron, Hazel Messenger and Gene Rose.

Linda (Maneer) Shipley, 56 of White Oak passed away at home unexpectedly while reading her daily Bible devotions on September 4, 2016.  Born March 12, 1960 in McKeesport, she was the daughter of Donna (William Wehner) Shipley and the late Donald Shipley.  Linda attended the First Evangelical Free Church in McKeesport for 50 years, and was active in Sage’s Army in helping to raise awareness of drug addiction.  Linda was also active in the Veteran’s Wounded Warrior Project  as a caregiver.  She was a nursing assistant at Bayada Nursing, where she cared for elderly and disabled individuals in their homes. She also loved to care for her horse Velvet and Louie Louis Vuitton her granddog.  In addition to her mom, she is survived by her children, Amy (Kenneth Ferree) McCarthy, Raelyn (Joseph Willard III) Meisenbach, and Sam (Rachel) Grissom; grandchildren, Dontae and Rayann McCarthy; sister, Lorraine (Gary Pearsol) Shipley; brother, John (Allison) Shipley; nieces and nephews, Livia, Nicholas, Dylan, Amanda, Amber, Anthony, and Aidan.  She is also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and Donald Maneer.  She was preceded in death by her son, Charles Grissom; brother, Thomas Shipley, and an unborn child.
