She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Duquesne. Mary Lou worked for the McKeesport Elks and the Youghiogheny Country Club in Elizabeth Township. She is survived by daughters, Theresa (Frank) Yanosky of West Newton and Mary Obley of McKeesport, son, Lester E. Maurer, III., of McKeesport, sisters, Joanne Denne of West Mifflin, Dorothy (Glenn) Schmidt of Linesville, and Linda Harding of Liberty Borough, brothers, Robert R. Harding of McKeesport and Warren J. He was born February 28, 1939 in McKeesport and was the son of Kathleen Nurse Bauer of North Huntingdon and the late Louis Bauer. He was the husband of the late Jane Louise Crawford Bauer. Louis was a USMC Veteran and was a star quarterback from 1958-60 at Hofstra University. He retired from the J.C. Penney Company. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his daughter, Amy (Andy) Guffey, Jaime (Bethany) Bauer, Jonathan (Wendi) Bauer and Jayson (Lynne) Bauer, grandchildren, Madison, Annabel, Andrew, Ava, and Joshua, nieces and nephews.

Daniel "Danny" Reese Williams, 70, of Greenock, died peacefully on Wednesday, March 15, 2017. Danny's final days were spent surrounded by his family and close friends and listening to his favorite oldies and Gospel songs. Some of his more enjoyable days were spent sitting around a pot belly stove with his close buddies talking about backhoes, engines and old times. Danny also enjoyed NASCAR, dirt track car races, and Steeler's football, although he continually changed the TV channels.

Joseph J. “Jay” Kovacs, age 63 of McKeesport, passed away at home on March 14, 2017 surrounded by his family after a hard fought 12 year battle.  Born February 16, 1954 in McKeesport, he was the son of the late Joseph and Alberta (Spiegel) Kovacs and he was the loving husband of Patty (Mull) Kovacs for 43 years.  In addition to his wife, he is survived by children, Amy (Mark) Myers and Joseph Kovacs; grandchildren, Jocelyn Kovacs, Olivia, Emily, and Brock Myers; sister, Kathy (Tom) Filotei; brother, John (Kim) Kovacs; aunt, Clara Mae Salem; sister-in-law, Ginna (John) Sowa and many nieces, nephews, and friends.  Jay loved his Harley Davidson, fishing with family and friends, and was a jack of all trades who was always there to help someone in need.  He worked for Volkswagen in the Quality Control Department and later as a Lab Technician at Cronimet Specialty Metals in Rochester.  Family and friends will be received at Jaycox-Jaworski Funeral Home & Crematory on Saturday, March 18, 2017 from 6-9 p.m. and on Sunday, March 19, 2017 from 1-3 and 6-8 p.m.  A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 20, 2017 at NOON in the funeral home chapel.  Burial will follow at McKeesport & Versailles Cemetery.  Condolences may be shared at www.jaycox-jaworskifh.com
