Frederick A. Roberts, age 82 of Clairton, died Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at UPMC McKeesport. Born November 24, 1934 in Youngstown, Ohio, he was the son of the late John A. Roberts and Anna (Stabler) Roberts. Fred served in the Army in Korea in 1958. Never married, Fred drove tractor trailers for many different companies and was a long time member of Wilson Presbyterian Church. He is survived by his brother, John S. Roberts and his wife, Glenda of White Oak; niece Crystal Roberts Stalter and her husband, Mark; nephew Ryan S. Roberts and his wife, Kristy; two great nieces, Caitlin and Taylor; two great nephews, Joshua and Cody; also many cousins and his special cousin, John Lickert who was very good to Fred in visiting him at Kane and before that taking him to his doctor appointments. Fred is loved and will be missed especially by his brother. A Memorial Service celebrating Fred’s life will be held on Saturday, April 8, 2017 at 12 Noon at the First Evangelical Free Church, 4001 University Drive, McKeesport, PA 15132. Hewas born on July 4, 1937 in Harrisburg, PA to Francis and John Fetterman Senior. John graduated from the North American College in Rome and was ordained in December 19, 1962. He came to Pittsburgh in 1972 and taught classics at the University of Pittsburgh. John was interim pastor at Christ Episcopal Church in the North Hills. John was Associate Clergy at Calvary Church in Shadyside and Rector of Grace Episcopal Church in Madison, Wisconsin.

Jim was retired from US Steel Duquesne Works as a crane operator. He proudly served his country in the Army during WWII. He was a member of the VFW, Ft. Louden, PA and he enjoyed hunting, fishing, Steelers, Pirates and Pitt Football. Husband of 65 years to the late Marie E. (Jugan) McAllen; father of James Robert (Donna) McAllen of Baltimore, MD, Marcie Marie McAllen of Duquesne, Janet S. Harris of Duquesne and Duane (Kimberly) McAllen of Penn Hills; grandfather of Darren and Dana McAllen, Todd McAllen, Keith Harris, Chad Harris, Penelope, Duane S. and Scott McAllen; also five great- grandchildren. Predeceased by brothers and sisters, Elizabeth Stevenson, Anna Ottavian, John McAllen, Fred McAllen, Sara Almose, Margretta Robey; also survived by nieces and nephews. There will be no visitation or services. A private burial will take place in Dry Run, PA.
