C. James Ignaczak, 77, of North Huntingdon, passed away Tuesday, May 12, 2020 at his home. He was born February 14, 1943 in McKeesport, a son of the late Chester and Elizabeth (Zofchak) Ignaczak. Prior to his retirement, Jim was a tool and die maker for National Carbide with 40 years of service and later delivered flowers for Belaks Flowers, Irwin. He was a veteran of the US Navy where he served on the USS Stormes, and was a member of Circleville United Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife of 55 and a half years, Marsha Doring Ignaczak; daughters, Alaina Marie (Ignaczak) Jacobs and her husband, John and Cindy Lee Ignaczak; grandson, Anthony Johnston and his wife, Stacy; great-granddaughter and the love of his life, Molly Johnston; his best buddy and dog, Curley who passed on. Jim was also member of CUMC where in the past was on the board of trustee committee for 10 years, and a Westmoreland umpire.

Jamie Lyn Brewster Filotei, age 46, of McKeesport, died May 12, 2020, peacefully at home. Born December 22, 1973, in McKeesport, she was the daughter of Senator James R. and Linda (Harding) Brewster and the wife of Kenneth J. Filotei.

Jamie was retired from McKeesport Area School District, where she was a 4th grade elementary school teacher for 24 years. She was an excellent athlete and received a basketball scholarship to Mansfield University where she received a degree in Education. She was a member of the Christy Park United Methodist Church. Jamie was currently serving as Vice-President, on the McKeesport City Council. She was also a member of the Kiwanis Club of McKeesport, and very involved with the Girl's on the Run.

Dorothy Jean (Svacs) King, age 77 of Jefferson Hills, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 12, 2020 in Jefferson Hospital.  Born June 14, 1942 in her family home on Waddell Avenue in Clairton, where she spent most of her life, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Anna (Goffa) Svacs.  A member of Pine Run United Methodist Church in Clairton, Dorothy will be remembered as a sharp and dear woman and will be deeply and sorely missed by family and friends.  She is survived by her beloved husband of 54 years Alvin King; her children Rick Raposky of Clairton, Lynnette (Ray) Zajac of Pleasant Hills, and Debbie (Mark) Graham of West Mifflin; her thirteen grandchildren Kari Zajac, Amanda (John) Vojtko, Nicole (Scott) Karel, Rachel (Adam Cornelisson) Zajac, Abby Zajac, Kevin Massaro, and Brittney, Alyssa, Brandon, Ryan, Aiden, Mason, and Jacelyn Graham; her eight great-grandchildren Savannah, Junior, E.J., Riley, Hailey, Logan, Gabby, and Nathan; her sister Margaret (John) Matus of Florida; her sister-in-law Ursula "Herky" Svac of Jefferson Hills; and numerous nieces and nephews.  Besides her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by her grandson Jason Graham, who passed away February of 2016, and siblings Michael Svac, Anne Kapusta, Irene Colavincenzo, and Mary Bodnar.

Robert E. “Bobby” Cosgrove, 71 passed away on Monday, May 11, 2020 at Forbes Regional Hospital in Monroeville. He was born in McKeesport on December 3rd, 1948 to the late Raymond F. and Jane Lucille Martin Cosgrove. Robert is survived by his brother Raymond H. (Bevelyn) Cosgrove of Dravosburg, and sister Lois (Tom) Gelety of Pasadena Maryland. Robert is also survived by his many nieces and nephews, Wayne of Dravosburg, Nate (Isha) of Buena Vista, Pam (Jeremy) of Glassport, Stephen (Courtney) of Arnold city Maryland, Matt (Brittany) of Bowie, Maryland, and Elizabeth (Aron) of Pasadena, Maryland, as well as his great nieces and nephews Sami of McKeesport, Alyssa of Dravosburg, Caelan of Glassport, Hannah of Glassport, Isabella of Buena Vista, and Sean of Buena Vista. Robert is also survived by his great, great nieces Madilynn and Lillian of McKeesport. He was a member of the Dravosburg Methodist Church and loved to mingle with friends. Robert had many interests and enjoyed listening to the songs of Johnny Cash where he could let go and be himself. Some of his other interests were clowns, balloons, and he always seemed to carry a bag of nuts and bolts with him wherever he went. One of his heroes was Popeye because he loved his spinach to make him strong. Private services have been entrusted to S.M. Linda Desmond, 64, of Roaring Spring, PA passed away Monday May 11th at Homewood in Martinsburg, PA.  She was born in McKeesport, PA and was the daughter of the late Robert Salopek and the late Barbara Stromp. She married Gary Desmond on July 30, 1977 at Resurrection Church in West Mifflin, PA. Surviving are her loving husband, Gary and son Matthew of Roaring Spring, PA and daughter Jennifer (fiancé Daniel Burket) of Claysburg, PA. She was a 1974 graduate of Duquesne High School, Duquesne, PA. She had retired from driving a school bus with E&D busing for the Spring Cove School District. She enjoyed traveling with her husband, reading, playing games on her computer, going to the casino, and the golden retrievers she has had over the years. Due to restrictions the family will try to accommodate visitors. Private interment will be at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, West Mifflin, PA. Louise M. Laughery, 96, of West Mifflin died May 11, 2020.  She is the daughter of the late Frank and Marion (Hamilton) Leigh and beloved wife of the late Carl H. Laughery.  Louise is survived by her son Carl (Karen) Laughery of Margate, FL; granddaughters Amanda Laughery and Ashley (Bryan) Arnold and dear friend Gwynn Kiesell.  She was preceded in death by sisters Dorothy Reiger and Jean Wright and brother William Leigh.  She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church; White Oak American Legion; West Mifflin Senior Citizens; Duquesne Women's Club and  Past President of McKeesport Hospital's Womens Auxillary.  Funeral arrangements by Teichart-Gracan Funeral Home, Duquesne.  A private graveside service will be held at Jefferson Memorial Park.

Dolores R. “Dolly” Tarczy age 92, of Monroeville, formerly of West Mifflin on Mother’s Day, May 10, 2020 at Independence Court, Monroeville.  Born on March 30, 1928 in Homestead, she was the daughter of the late Andrew & Margaret (Vrable) Andzelik.  She was a retired dietary aide at McKeesport Hospital and, also, at Emerson School in the West Mifflin School District.  She was a member of Holy Trinity Church, West Mifflin and their Christian Mothers. Former wife of the late Robert Tarczy she is survived by children Robert S. Tarczy of the Poconos, Melanie (Dan) Tarczy Tison of Port Vue, Debra (Jim) Tarczy Rudolph of Poway, CA and Rick (Melissa) Tarczy of Monroeville; grandchildren Kelly (Juan) Guillen, Ryan Tarczy & Rachael Tarczy; great grandchildren Juan & Sabastian.  She was the sister of the late Eugene Andzelik & late Regina Nauman.  Private family visitation will be held at MALOY-SCHLEIFER FUNERAL HOME, 915 Kennedy Ave., Duquesne, 412-466-3300, followed by a private mass of Christian Burial at Holy Trinity Church, West Mifflin and burial at Holy Trinity Cemetery.  Her family would like to thank Gateway Hospice & Independence Court for the loving care given to their mother.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank, 1 N. Vezzani, age 70 of Elizabeth Twp., passed away on Friday, May 8, 2020 in UPMC Montefiore Hospital, Pittsburgh.  Born January 29, 1950 in McKeesport, she was a daughter of the late Paul and Betty (Lopretto) Lee.  After earning her associates degree in accounting from Penn State, Elizabeth worked as a manager at Bell Credit Union in McKeesport.  A member of St. Michael's Parish in Elizabeth Twp., she will be remembered as a hard working, kind, and compassionate person who put others before herself and, most importantly, a great friend and sister to her family who will be sorely missed.  Besides her parents, Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husband Richard Vezzani, who passed away October 9, 2018, and her brother Tom Lee.  She is survived by her siblings Gen. Paul (Dorothy) Lee, USMC, Ret. of Dumfries, VA, Patty (Dan) Szabo of Elizabeth Twp., and Bob (Nancy) Lee of Franklin, TN; and her nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
