Jean Shaffer Newlin Moyle, 100, of Elizabeth Township and Naples, FL, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, April 24, 2020. Born on November 2, 1919 in Dravosburg, she was the daughter of the late Fred A. and Clara B. (Abels) Shaffer. She was the wife of the late Joe B. "Red" Newlin and John C. Moyle, and sister of the late Leona Shaffer Holmes, Wilfred (Bud) Shaffer, and Kathryn M. Bittinger. She was also preceded in death by her step-sons, David and Curtis Moyle, a niece, Mary Lynne Hurley and nephew, Terry Holmes. She was a member of the Mount Vernon Community Presbyterian Church and it's Chancel Guild and was an associate member of the Lily Presbyterian Church and it's Ladies Association in Naples.

On Monday, April 20, 2020, Eugene Ralph Marshall (Babe), loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle, and cousin, passed away at the age of 88.

Babe was born on October 12, 1931, in Clairton PA to the late Albert and Lillie Marshall.  After graduating from Clairton High School, he attended Howard University for two years and served in the United States Army. Babe returned to Clairton to own and operate the Schmidt Hotel for a number of years before working and retiring from United States Steel Coke Works in Clairton.  He later obtained a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Pittsburgh.

Charles E. “Jap” Arrigo

Charles E. “Jap” Arrigo, 73, of West Newton, loving husband, father, and grandfather passed from this life peacefully Saturday, April 18, 2020, in the company of family and friends after a long-fought battle with a lingering illness. He was born on September 8, 1946 in North Charleroi, PA, the son of the late Joseph Arrigo and Esther (O’Hara) Arrigo.

Charles was a 1965 graduate of Charleroi High School where he excelled in baseball, basketball, football, and track. Charles played semi-pro football for the Wheeling Ironmen in the mid-60’s and was an assistant football coach for Belle Vernon High School under Bill Conners from 1985 through 1992. 

Charles served honorably for 25 years as a Pennsylvania State Police Trooper from November 7, 1969 until his retirement in 1994.

Evelyn Frankovich, age 93 of Port Vue, passed away on Saturday, April 25, 2020 in Harbour Senior Living, Monroeville.  Born August 11, 1926 in McKeesport, she was a daughter of the late Anthony and Frances (Sudetic) Frankovich.  A member of St. Mark's Parish in Port Vue, Evelyn retired from the payroll department at US Steel - Irvin Works, West Mifflin.  In her spare time, Evelyn loved to golf, bowl, travel, and attend the theater and was proud of her Croatian heritage.  Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers Anthony (Emma), John, and George Frankovich and Mary (Adam) Sparks.  Evelyn is survived by her nieces and nephews.  Funeral arrangements for Evelyn are private with burial following in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Port Vue.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gene B. "Jess" Davis. She is survived by children, Michelle Harris of Blaine Hill, Kathy Davis of Blaine Hill and Gene B. "Guy" Davis of Forward Township; two grandchildren, Ruby Rose Davis-Nelson of St. Paul, MN and Marc Dunseath of Blaine Hill; siblings, David Pershing of Blaine Hill, Lucy (Francis) Thompson of Grassflat, Richard Pershing of Blaine Hill and Bill (Laurel) Pershing of Blaine Hill; also nieces and nephews.

He was born in McKeesport on May 1, 1948 and is the son of the late Andrew and Marie Candelore Kerston Soriano.  Mike was an Army veteran serving during the Vietnam Era.  He was employed as a machinist for U.S. Steel in McKeesport and after retiring, worked part-time at Butler’s Golf Course. He was a member of St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church, the White Oak Legion Post 701 and also the VFW Post 781 in Irwin where he was a member of the pool league.  He was an avid golfer, but also enjoyed all sports.

Agnes lost both of her parents and was placed in Belvedere Catholic Orphanage when she was nine years old, along with her two younger sisters. She spent nine years there and obtained a scholarship and then obtained a teaching license. He was born February 3, 1933 in Dormont and was the son of the late Charles Arvine Muetzel, Sr, and the late Velma Viola (Weis) Muetzel. Charles was President of the former Mon Valley Petroleum and was a US Army Veteran. He was a member of the Pittsburgh Petroleum Association, the Pennsylvania Petroleum Association and was a 1955 graduate of Washington and Jefferson College. A man who grew up in Dormont and graduated from W&J, became the best oil marketer east of the Mississippi. A man who started a family and raised 3 amazing children. A grandfather to 6 and great-grandfather to 9 more.

Michael C. Fisher, 39, of Jeannette went peacefully in his sleep and awoke in the arms of Jesus on April 22, 2020. Mike(Mikey) was the most caring and selfless man one could have ever had the pleasure to encounter. He loved his dog Junior and his family more than anything. He was a beloved uncle to his many nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly. Mike delivered medical equipment to different facilities and would often stop and talk to the patients or sit with families who were grieving. He always stopped to check in on people, one of many of his charming attributes. Mike is survived by his brother Mark Fisher (Nicole) of Greensburg, sister Ashlee Pliska (Timothy) of Irwin and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his brother Justin Joseph and his mother Carol May.  There will be no visitation.  A memorial service will be held at a later date.  Arrangements were made by the James W.
