Alan G. Reese, 92, formerly of Irwin, died Saturday August 25, 2018. He was born August 1, 1926 in Homestead, the son of the late George and Alice G. (Rogers) Reese. He was a Navy veteran of WWII and received a bachelor’s degree from Indiana Teachers College. He retired as an electrical draftsman/technical illustrator for Westinghouse Electric Corp., East Pittsburgh. Alan was a member of West Hempfield Presbyterian Church, the Greensburg Art Center, and was a former member of Strawpump VFD. He is survived by his wife of 66 years Betty May (Thomas) Reese; his children Nancy Reese of Pittsburgh, Thomas Reese (Sara) of Cortez, CO, and Steven Reese (Louise) of Bethel Park; his grandchildren, Reese McArdle, Tessa McArdle, Caitlyn Reese Duran (Mo), Dylan Reese, and Maxwell Reese and great granddaughter Ellie Duran.

Rosa Marie Fontanesi, age 98 of McKeesport, PA passed away on Sunday, August 26, 2018 in Chesterton, IN. She was born on December 29, 1920 in McKeesport, PA to Areste Demo Rubizzi and Saffo (Brugnoli) Rubizzi.

Rosa is survived by daughters, Denise (Richard) Wolfe of Elizabeth, PA and Tia (Lanier) Chiesi of Chesterton, IN; grandchildren, Jake (Susan) Wolfe, Eric (Ellen) Wolfe, Lanier (Denyse Leady) Chiesi and Dr. Camron Chiesi; great grandchildren, Ava Marie Chiesi, Audrey Wolfe, Toby Wolfe, Ben Wolfe and Annie Wolfe. She was preceded in death by her parents, Saffo and Areste Demo Rubizzi; first husband, Raymond G. Carnahan (killed in action WWII) and husband, John Fontanesi; sister, Betty (Glen) Alberts; and brothers, James (Elvira) Rubizzi and Eugene (Ruth) Rubizzi.

She was the wife of the late Raymond D. Clay who died April 10, 2015. She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church and had previously worked for White Oak Heating and Cooling and the former Samuel's Shoes in McKeesport. She is survived by her son, Gary Edward (Diane) Clay of Elkins, WV, daughter, Janet Rae  (Donald) Algeri and granddaughter, Samantha Rae Algeri of Elizabeth Township, sister, Eleanor Dennison of North Huntingdon, nieces and nephews.

Bush, 85, of Greensburg, passed away Friday, August 24, 2018 at Excela Health Latrobe Hospital.  He was born February 10, 1933 in Chalfant, Pa., a son of the late Joseph and Helen (Kato) Bush.  Prior to his retirement, Don was employed by the Veterans Administration, was a veteran of the US Navy having served during the Korean War, and a member of Blessed Sacrament Church, Greensburg.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Raymond Bush; and brother-in-law, Henry.  He is survived by his brother, Arthur Bush and his wife, Mary Jane; sisters, Marilyn McWilliams and her husband, Riley, Evelyn Zambo and her husband, John;  and numerous nieces and nephews.  A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Tuesday at 10 a.m. in St. Agnes Church, North Huntingdon.  PLEASE GO DIRECTLY TO THE CHURCH.  Interment will be private in Braddock Catholic Cemetery. www.shirleyfuneralhome.com.

Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed her grandkids and great-grandkids, shopping outings at Grove City Outlets, playing Bingo, and her monthly lunches with her childhood girlfriends. She is survived by her sons, Ronald G. (Cindy) Raymer of North Versailles and Donald E. (Nancy) Raymer of McKeesport, brother, Orville Drescher of Coulter, grandchildren, Kara (Paul), and Keri (Jeff), great-grandchildren, Michael, Makayla, Hayley, Anna, Brixton, and Ryan, nieces and nephews.

Frank who died in April 1974. Janet was a homemaker who loved to cook, sew, and was an avid crafter. She was a Girl Scout leader for several years, a member of The Elizabeth Township Senior Citizens, and was the past President of the former Mt. Vernon AARP, where she loved booking trips most notably to Ohio, New York and Branson, Missouri. She is survived by her daughter, Sandra L. (James) Ramsey of Boston, as well as many nieces and nephews.

He was a life member of Irwin Sportsman’s Club and liked to hunt and fish. He was a NASCAR fan and a Steelers fan. He is survived by his wife of 57 years Valerie M. (Lakatosh) Waugaman; his children Jodi L. Supko and her husband Jerome and Chad W. Waugaman both of North Huntingdon; his grandchildren Kira Zyvith, and Brady and Travis Waugaman; also nieces and nephews.

William Vojnovich, 85, of Moon Twp. passed away peacefully in Good Samaritan Hospice House in Wexford on Thursday, August 23, 2018. He was born January 8, 1933 in Duquesne to the late Eli and Mary Stipanovich Vojnovich.  Mr. Vojnovich graduated from Carnegie Mellon University with a B.S. in Civil Engineering and worked as project manager/civil engineer in the ship building and metals industry before retiring. He is survived by two children, Eli Vojnovich of Aliquippa and Marisa (Stephen) Gardner of Franklin Park, two grandsons, Jacob and Matthew Gardner.  He is also survived by a sister, Helen Vojnovich Medic of Irwin, Donald (Milena) Vojnovich of N. Huntingdon, Mark and Eli Vojnovich of Duquesne, and sister-in-law, Dolores Vojnovich of North Huntingdon as well as many nieces and nephews.

Brenda “Tiny” Marie Hood

Brenda Marie Hood, 68, of McKeesport was called home to meet her heavenly father while in the loving care of her sister-law, Denine Hood on Sunday August 19, 2018. She was born on January 4, 1950 in Braddock, PA to the late Willie James and Josephine Rogers Hood at Braddock Hospital.

Tiny accepted the Lord Jesus Christ at the age of 17 at her home church, Jerusalem Baptist Church of Duquesne, PA. She was an active member of the Pulpit Guild at Jerusalem and taught Sunday school to the young children there. She was a warrior for Christ and continued to march and praise for the glory of her God throughout the rest of her life.

She graduated from Duquesne High School in 1968. Tiny attended Berkeley School of Business which is now Bradford School of Business and graduated in 1970 with an Associate’s Degree in Business.

Tiny worked for Alcoa and retired after 20 years. Once retired, the Lord’s work for her had just begun. Tiny’s love and compassion for people was so pure that she proceeded to become a foster parent and caregiver for the elderly at Mon Yough Community Services. She was a foster mother for several agencies over the years including Kadie Services, Allegheny East, Children Youth Services, Circle C and Auberle. Tiny also was a Girl Scout leader in 1997, a volunteer at The Creative Convention (Woodland Hills School District), and worked for the post office in Giant Eagle of White Oak, PA for 9 years.

He is survived by his wife of 10 1/2 years, Zimin Ren; son, Ethan Schumann of Pittsburgh; brothers, Glenn I. "Oz" (Elaine) Schumann of Elizabeth Twp. and Tim Schumann of Clairton; sister, Deborah (Michael) DePollo of Kingsport, TN; also, nieces, nephews and cousins. Visitation will be private. Loretto “Joseph” Capaccia, 86, of Glassport, formerly of Clairton, passed away  Monday, August 20, 2018 at John J. Kane Regional Care Center in McKeesport.  He was born December 15, 1931, in Clairton, to the late Phillipio and Antoinette Vano Capaccia.  Joseph is survived by nephew, John Paul Charmo of Glassport.  Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by sister, Domenica Ann Charmo.  Joseph was a very dedicated church goer; he attended St Paulinus & St Clare of Assisi, both of Clairton, and Queen of The Rosary in Glassport.  He was employed by Continental Can for 20 years and by US Steel Clairton Works. Joseph was a very loving uncle who went on many ice cream trips.  Visitation will take place Thursday, August 23, 2018 from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 pm at S. M.
