Marcia Ann (South) Klein, 61 of Wausau, WI, passed away to be with the Lord on September 27, 2021 in Wausau, WI. Marcia was born in McKeesport, PA to W. James and Nancy South on November 22, 1959. She was a 1981 graduate from Washington and Jefferson College in Washington, PA with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics. She worked as a Bank Examiner for The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) for 15 years, and then worked in the family business, H. B. South Printing, for 5 years. For the remaining 20 years, she worked with her husband at Klein Scuba, managing all accounting, travel and trip planning, along with daily business operations. She was a member and a Deaconess of Park Baptist Church in McKeesport, PA. She was actively involved with the ministries at Bethany Baptist Church. She also enjoyed Bible Study and small group activities. Marcia loved to travel all over the world. Her adventures included para-gliding in the Alps and fly boarding in Mexico. Her interest in scuba-diving led to the meeting of her future husband, Phil. Before her involvement with Klein Scuba, she was a member of the Women’s Scuba Group. Marcia loved animals and had many dogs and one special cat throughout her life. Marcia is preceded in death by her father W. James South.

Randy J. "Bodie" Abels, 60, of Elizabeth Township, passed away Friday, October 1, 2021 at home. He was born April 14, 1961 in McKeesport and was the son of Gladys (Panzek) Abels of Dravosburg and the late Ronald "Raz" Abels. Randy retired from US Steel Irvin Works. He was a volunteer at the Sisters of the Divine Redeemer in Elizabeth Township where he loved to walk his buddy, Rocky. Randy loved to hunt and fish with his brother Moose as they and friends spent many hours in the outdoors. Randy was a loving father, husband and friend to everyone. His helping hand and tough love will be missed by many.

Geary of White Oak, Pennsylvania passed away peacefully surrounded by her husband and family on October 1st, 2021.  She was born in Mingo Junction, Ohio on February 25, 1936, to the late Eugene and Angeline (Leeper) Cottone as one of eight children. Joann was a 1953 graduate of Clairton High School, member of St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church in McKeesport, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, friend, and amazing role model.

Joudat "Umoo, Jody" Hadad, 89, went to be with the Lord and his loved ones on September 19, 2021. He is survived by his three brothers and two sisters, several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Jody was loved by all. Although he had no children, he treated them like his own. He was more than just Umoo. He was like a father, brother, friend, mentor, a pillar of strength, ambitious, humble and wise beyond his years. His work was endless and, often times, thankless. Umoo was a well-respected man; he was the head of the family. Jody was born in Syria. He married Virginia and moved to Versailles, Pa., in 1956. He and his wife made a life in Pa. for eight years, working in the florist and restaurant industries. In 1964, they moved to Va., where he opened his first restaurant and later turned it into a music store, Jody's Music. Fifteen years later, he built and operated alongside his brother, Abdalla, their own music and auto sound store. Jody had such a love and passion for Arabic music that he performed in his free time on his "oud" with his band. He loved playing for family and friends, whether it was on holidays or SNL in his home.

Walter Thomas Meyers, 91, of Jefferson Hills, formerly of Elizabeth, passed away Monday, September 20, 2021 at home. He was born June 12, 1930 and was the son of the late Amos Elmer and Gladys Cullingford Meyers.  He was the loving husband of 63 years to the late Peggy Ann (Lloyd) Meyers who passed away in 2016.  Walter graduated from Elizabeth High School as Valedictorian and obtained a degree in accounting from the College of Holy Cross. He was a member of Bethesda United Presbyterian Church in Elizabeth. He was a U.S. Navy Commander who served in The Korean and Vietnam Wars and retired after 23 years of service.

She was born September 26, 1947 in North Versailles and was the daughter of the late Patrick and Dorothy (Baker) Harding.  She was the wife of the late  Robert Stanley Kutzfar who passed away in 2005.  Darlene loved the Steelers and enjoyed cheering them on during games. She loved her family, everyone was always welcome in her home and everyone friends and family alike called her "Gram". She was a strong person and had a huge heart. She would do anything for anyone. Buck, 88, of Munhall, formerly of West Mifflin, PA passed away peacefully with her loved ones by her side on Monday, September 13, 2021.  She was born June 22, 1933 in Duquesne and was the daughter of the late George and Mary (Hudak) Stuno. Eleanor was the wife of the late Paul M. Buck.  She was the co-owner of the former White Oak Florist and also worked at the former Kopriver Florist in Duquesne. Eleanor served as past Secretary of the local Teleflora organization. She leaves a legacy of supreme cookie baker and was known to carry cookies to most every event or visit she attended.

She was born March 13, 1957 in McKeesport and was the daughter of the late John F. Trepanowski and Betty (Kovalyak) Trepanowski of  White Oak.  She was the wife of the late Dennis J. Filson, Sr., who passed away November 10, 2017.   Debbie was a staff member of the UPMC McKeesport Cancer Center, and would later work at Home Depot for a short time.  Debbie was a member of Mary, Mother of God Parish at their Corpus Christi Worship Site.  She was a proud member of The Click Clack Club. Debbie also was a surrogate mother to Truck Company Marines.

Paula Jean Pope, 61, of Hempfield Township, passed away Friday, September 17, 2021. She was born August 20, 1960 in McKeesport and was the daughter of the late John F. Trepanowski and Betty (Kovalyak) Trepanowski of White Oak. She worked numerous jobs throughout her life, but most recently worked as an office manager at Hydro Technical Services in Elizabeth. She was a huge supporter of our veterans and belonged to the Ladies Auxiliary at The Port Vue American Legion Post 447. She was also a member of The West Hempfield American Legion Post 53 and The Wendel-Herminie Athletic Association. She loved camping, campfires and poker machines. Paula also loved spending time with her relatives and friends. She will be greatly missed.

Anthony R. "Tony" Hilko, Sr.,86, of Elizabeth Township, passed away Wednesday, September 15, 2021. He was born March 1, 1935 in Glassport and was the son of the late Michael and Anna Mary (Smolchick) Hilko.  Tony was a member of Saints Joachim and Anne Parish. He worked numerous jobs throughout his life, he was a bricklayer, worked for the former Continental Can and retired as a security guard for Magee Hospital. He was quiet, but well liked. Tony enjoyed fishing and deer hunting, especially at his camp in Potter County.  He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Dorothy A. (Dudash) Hilko, children, Anthony "Tony" (Karen) Hilko, Jr. of North Huntingdon, Diane (Ronald) Spyra of Washington, Michele (Frank Ley) Celko of Vandergrift and Michael Hilko of Glassport, 10 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

They were married 64 years and are devoted Christians. A native of Buena Vista, PA she was the daughter of the late Frank and Anne Whiteman. Eleanor earned her BS degree from University of San Francisco and her MS degree from Golden Gate (SF) University in accounting. She worked for Variance Associates of Palo Alto for 20 years and Lockheed (LMMS) for 15 years before retiring to Carmel Indiana in 1998.

Alvian worked many jobs throughout his life, including working as a coal miner, heavy equipment operator, saw mill operator and for the Ford Motor Company.  He enjoyed guns and hunting.

She was the wife to the late Tim Alexander, who passed away April, 8, 2018. Lorraine had a hard shell, but had the biggest heart and was there for anyone at anytime! She was a loving wife and caretaker, who had the mindset to put everyone else's needs ahead of her own, which made her an amazing mother, sister and grandmother.

Kathy Marie Slosky, 76, of Pittsburgh, passed away with her son by her side on Tuesday, September 7, 2021. She was born June 16, 1945, in Bentleyville, PA and was the daughter of the late Albert August "Jack" and Anna (Frencik) Slosky. She graduated from Bentworth High School in 1963 and then attended Robert Morris Junior College, graduating in 1964. Kathy lived in Washington, D.C. and worked for GTE (later Verizon) for over 20 years. Upon returning to the Pittsburgh area, Kathy was a faithful and active member of First Lutheran Church. The First Evangelical Lutheran Church in downtown Pittsburgh was an important part of her life as well as the many wonderful people who made her feel very welcome and special. She always made a point of remembering what everyone’s favorite “thing” was and when invited to visit, she would walk in carrying that special thing you loved.

He was born September 23, 1963 in McKeesport and was the son of the late George Williams, Sr., and of Patricia Lorraine (Vandervort) Williams of Elizabeth. George worked for St. Moritz Building as a Commercial Janitor for 10+ years. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his son, Zachary S. (Stephanie Golya) Williams of Elizabeth, daughter, Kelsi N. Williams of Elizabeth, brothers, David and Dan Williams, sister, Dawn Williams, grandson, Khyzer M.A Golya and a newborn grandson. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Karlie S. Williams, brother, Carl R. Williams, and sister, Patricia Lou Williams. There is no visitation.
