Dawn McFarlin, age 52, of McKeesport, died February 15, 2019 at home surrounded by her family. She was born in Bryn Mawr, Chester County, PA on August 3, 1966 and is the daughter of the late George Warnett and the late Patricia Harting Warnett. Joan Lucille Lesh Ward, 90, of Clairton, passed away Saturday, February 16, 2019 at Baldwin Health Care Center. She was born November 24, 1928, in Clairton, to the late George M. and Mary V. Mance Lesh. Joan was the loving wife of 50 years to the late J. Donald Ward, who passed away in 2002. She is survived by daughter, Mary Ann Warcola of Clairton; niece, Suzanne Evans of Clairton; great-niece, Vanessa Evans of Brentwood; other nieces and nephews. Along with her parents and spouse, Joan was preceded in death by her son, James G. Ward who passed away in 2011; sisters, Frances Nagy, Katherine Ach, and Mary Ann Marinich. Joan was a 1946 graduate of Clairton High School, a 1950 business graduate of Duquesne University, a member of Croatian Fraternal Union Lodge #248 in Clairton, past member of St. Paulinus Church, and was presently a member of St. Clare of Assisi Church. Family and friends will be received, Friday, February 22, 2019 from 11 am – 1 pm at S. M. FINNEY FUNERAL HOME, 432 N. 6th Street, Clairton, PA 15025. A memorial service will take place at 1:00 followed by inurnment at St. Clare Cemetery in Clairton. Ellen G. Makosey, 80, of Irwin, passed away on Friday, February 15, 2019 at home. She was born December 20, 1938 in McKeesport and was the daughter of the late William and Evelyn (Holiday) Gross. Ellen was a private secretary for Naval Commander Takitch at Bettis Atomic Power Laboratory, where she received letters of commendation for work done with the Naval Nuclear Propulsion program. She was a former member of St. Stephen's Episcopal Church in McKeesport. She was also an excellent homemaker who loved her family and pets, designed her own home and took great pride in landscape gardening.

David Nolfi, 70, of Glassport died peacefully Feb. 15, 2019 with his family by his side. He is the son of the Mary (DeCarlo) Nolfi and the late Alma Nolfi. He is survived by his beloved wife Eileen (Mooney) Nolfi; children Jason Nolfi, Aaron Nolfi and Alicia (Brad) Koontz; grandchildren Brett Michael Nolfi, Jalen Dru Koontz, Jesse Aaron Nolfi and Juliet Rose Koontz; brothers Tim (Peg) Nolfi and Jared Nolfi and sister Alma Marie Nolfi. He was preceded in death by his sister Jessica Nolfi. Dave was a retired supervisor for Duquesne Light but his passion was as a pastor for the Church of Jesus Christ, both Glassport and Clairton for over 40 years. Dave was active in his church and community; mentored at McKeesport High School; traveled to India to minister and drove the blind whenever needed. A memorial service will be held February 23 at the Church of Jesus Christ, Clairton at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Church of Jesus Christ in David's name.

A devout member of St. Mark's Parish and the former St. Eugene's, Helen was a member of the church's Christian Mothers, cleaned the altar, ironed the altar linens, and attended daily Mass for 39 years while also volunteering at Kane Regional in her spare time. An independent and strong-willed woman, she was a terrific and caring mother and grandmother who showed her love and faith every day of her life.
