Joseph Richard Gumpher Jr., 69, of Elizabeth, formerly of McKeesport, passed away at home Monday, February 25, 2019.  He was born July 29, 1949, in Turtle Creek, to the late Joseph R. Sr. and Agnes Mae Marks Gumpher.  Joseph is survived by his loving wife, of 49 years, Carolyn S. Waggoner Gumpher; children, Dennis J. Gumpher of White Oak, Joseph R. (Teresa) Gumpher III. of Elizabeth, daughter, Denise B. (David) Burke of Elizabeth; grandchildren, Melonie (Keith) Snyder of N. Huntingdon, David Burke Jr. of Elizabeth, Dylan Burke of Elizabeth, Joseph Gumpher IV of Elizabeth, Alexis Gumpher of Elizabeth, Kimberly Gumpher of Elizabeth, Madison Gumpher of Elizabeth, and his faithful dog Miss Lady; siblings, brother William Gumpher of Hermine, James Gumpher of Siegel Pa., sisters, Patricia Kristofik of Elizabeth, and Tina Gumpher of Elizabeth.  Joe had his own auto body, fender and mechanical business in Wilson for 20 years, worked at Finney Funeral Homes for 20 years, worked for various trucking companies, enjoyed camping, hunting, and loved dogs. Visitation will take place Thursday, February 28, 2019, from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 pm and Friday, March 1, 2019, from 10 – 11 am at S.M. FINNEY FUNERAL HOME.  A memorial service will take place 11 AM, Friday, March 1, 2019.  Inurnment will take place at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, the family suggest contributions be made directly to the www.fundthefuneral.com to help the defray funeral costs.  On line condolences may be offered at www.finneyfuneralhome.com

He graduated from McKeesport High School class of 1971, Was a member of the Dravosburg Fire Hall and West Newton Gun Club. His favorite past times were fishing and hunting. He loved spending time outside walking through woods and fields with his beloved dog Stymie. He was a lifelong fan of the Steelers, Penquins and Pirates.

Emil was a member of St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church in McKeesport and was a retired Industrial Engineer at the former General Motors Fisher Body Plant in West Mifflin. He served as a Staff Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps from 1948 to 1952.

Inks, 75, of McKeesport, died Sunday, February 24, 2019 at Canterbury Place Family Hospice.  Born in McKeesport, December 12, 1943, she was the daughter of the late James and Alma May Romick Inks.  A supervisor with the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services, she was a member of Park Baptist Church.  She is survived by her aunt, Elizabeth C. Romick and by cousins, Charles E. (Sharon) Romick, Thomas L. (Eileen) Romick, and Marjorie A. (Arthur) Trunzo.  A service will be held Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at 11:00 AM in the Park Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Rudy Mayak officiating.  Interment will follow in McKeesport and Versailles Cemetery.  Hunter Funeral Home, Inc., 1600 Coursin Street, McKeesport, PA  15132 is in charge of arrangements.  The family suggests contributions to Park Baptist Church, 749 Center Street, McKeesport, PA  15132.

Stella's life was a challenge early on, as she lost both her parents while in her early teens. Perhaps this is why she was devoted to and focused on her family, which was her greatest joy, and whom she loved with all her heart. Whether it was visiting with or just talking on the phone to her many sisters and brothers and friends, or cooking, baking, and raising her children, Stella's love and nurturing was always evident. Rev. Frank A. “Buckie” Ziska, 77, of North Versailles, passed away suddenly Wednesday, February 20, 2019. He was born October 18, 1941 in Braddock, a son of the late James W. and Genevieve Ella (Fisher) Ziska. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers Jack and James Ziska and a sister Ester Ziska. Buckie was the owner and operator of Buckies Window Cleaning for 48 years and a former firefighter for Sunset VFD where he also served as fire chief and as an EMT. He was ordained in 2014 as a minister through his studies at Word of Life Ministries. He is survived by his wife Rita (Pipp) Ziska; his sons Marc (Dawnn) Ziska of New Stanton, Lance (Emma) Ziska of AL, and Eric (Sharen) Ziska of North Versailles; his grandchildren Kayleigh (Jon) Wilson, Sarah, Hannah, Natalie, and Emily Ziska; great grandchildren Chase and Jake Wilson; a sister Katherine Mansfield of TX, also nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
