Cheryl (Moore) Nemerovsky age 62, passed away at Sycamore Estate in Duquesne on July 31, 2019 after a courageous battle with brain cancer. Cheryl was born in Pittsburgh on June 11, 1957 to the late Harry Rudolph Moore and the late Patricia (Gordon) Moore. Cheryl was predeceased by her husband and soul mate, Mark Louis “Nemo” Nemerovsky. Cheryl is survived by her sister, Carol Bee Moore; her brother, Harry R. “J.R.” Moore and sister-in-law, Leeann Moore; sister-in-law, Becky Nemerovsky; nieces, Carrie Rost Brickman (Bryan) and Stacy Rost Noll (Ryan); nephew, Sean Harrison Moore; Mark's nieces, Kandice Lee (Leonard) and Kayla Williams (Ceasar); two great-nephews and four great-nieces; and Mark's four great-nieces and nephew. Cheryl was administrator and founding partner for 31 years of Sycamore Estate Personal Care Residence. Cheryl graduated in 1975 from Elizabeth Forward High School, a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh school of Business, Duquesne University Paralegal Program and Shadyside Hospital School of Nursing; an RN and also EMT/Volunteer Treasurer of Duquesne EMS for 22 years. Gene Wesley Errett, 85, of North Huntingdon, passed away Tuesday, July 30, 2019 in Texas. He was born August 21, 1933 in Greensburg, son of the late William R. and Hazel (Rosensteel) Errett. Prior to his retirement from the military, Gene was an E-7 Helicopter Maintenance Supervisor for the US Army. He was a member of Norwin Church of the Nazarene, American Legion and was an avid outdoorsman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Mae Errett; daughter, Cheryle Hill; son, Gene Wesley Errett Jr; brothers, William R. Jr. and Homer Errett; and nephew, Ronald Errett. William J. “Jack” Deanhardt, Jr., 88, formerly of Venice, Florida, passed away peacefully in Columbia, South Carolina, on July 27, 2019. He was born January 31, 1931, in McKeesport, Pennsylvania, son of the late William J. Deanhardt, Sr. and Edith Hendrickson Deanhardt.
Jack leaves behind his loving wife of 63 years, Audrey; his son, David J. Deanhardt (Julia) of Clatskanie, Oregon; his daughter, Barbara D. Corpora (Ronald) of Columbia, South Carolina; six grandchildren, Matthew (Kristen), Christian, and Miranda Corpora, Geoffrey, Austin, and Andrew Deanhardt; as well as four great-grandsons, Matthew, Samuel, Gabriel and Thomas Corpora. He is also survived by his brother, Donald J. Deanhardt of The Villages in Florida.
After graduating from McKeesport High School in 1949, Jack attended Thiel College in Greenville, Pennsylvania, before enlisting in the United States Air Force. Lieutenant Deanhardt proudly served for five years as a navigator/bombardier on a B56 bomber. After leaving the service, he became an agent for Nationwide Insurance Company. He owned and operated the Deanhardt Agency in White Oak, Pennsylvania, for 35 years.

She was born June 30, 1928 in Colver, Pa., to Tullio and Maria (Parissenti) Cavatoni. Teresa was a R.N. at the Bruceton Research Center and previously served in the USAF from 1950-1965 after she graduated from the Windber Hospital Training School for Nurses in 1949.
Teresa was active at the Jefferson Hills Women's Club and volunteered at the food bank in Duquesne and with the Ladies of Charity at St. Thomas a Becket Church. She loved family, cats and gardening.
Teresa is survived by her two sons, Tim (Kathy) Banfield and Mike Banfield; a sister, Edith Zawiskie; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Joshua Charles (Josh) Boucek, 41 of McKeesport, died Thursday, July 18, 2019. He was the son of John and Elsie Parton Boucek. Josh was a collector with many interests. He was highly creative and a talented artist. He loved animals and nature, and was an avid hiker on the Yough Trail. He worked for the Carnegie Free Library of McKeesport for several years before becoming involved with e commerce. Harold “Archie” Lauterbach, 90, a lifetime resident of Clairton, passed away on Monday, July 22, 2019 at the Ashbury Heights Nursing Home. He was born in Clairton on March 3, 1929 to the late Peter Joseph and Caroline DeBor Lauterbach. Harold was a well-known figure in the community of Clairton. As a young man he played baseball for United States Steel, Clairton Works. His participation in a “mill team” was a significant part of Pittsburgh history, as noted in an exhibit at the Heinz History Center. He went on to become Facility Manager of Calgon’s packing & shipping facility in the Robinson area of Pittsburgh, a company where he worked for 30 years. Harold drove and helped deliver Meals on Wheels for many years in the Clairton community. Harold volunteered his time at St. Clare of Assisi, was an avid hunter and fisherman, and loved classical music and the symphony. Prior to his retirement, Dale was a brakeman for Union Railroad and a graduate of Norwin Senior High School Class of 1970. He was an avid reader and loved art and music. He is survived by his sister, Renee Martz and her husband, Bob; nephew, Brett Martz and his wife Addie, and their children, Emma and Mats; niece, Heather Johnson and her husband, Mike and their son, Baylor. Brian Lawrence Hetrick, 21, of North Huntingdon died at home on July 16, 2019. He was born February 28, 1998 in Greensburg, the loving son of Warren Hetrick and Marina Venturelli. In 2002, Brian became the older brother to his surviving sibling, Alex Hetrick. Brian was a 2016 graduate of Norwin High School. He was about to begin his Senior year at University of Pittsburgh, Greensburg, where he was a Dean’s List student after transferring from WCCC in 2018. He also worked at Kohl’s, North Huntingdon for the past few years.
Brian was a good kid. He didn’t do drugs, never got into trouble, and hardly drank. He went to pre-school at Calvary Preschool Center, attended first grade at West Hempfield Elementary before transferring to Sunset Valley Elementary, and continued his high school career at Norwin School District. He received First Communion and Confirmation at St. Agnes Church.
He played soccer for many years at the Norwin Soccer Club, playing for coach Seth’s Travel Team, and later for the 9th Grade High School Team. He went on to play for WCCC his freshman year in college. He also participated in martial arts, T-ball, baseball, basketball and track growing up. Brian spoke Italian, and he loved travelling to Italy to visit his Nonni, and especially adored being with his two young cousins there, who took to him so much. He also enjoyed beach vacations growing up, and being with his good friends Marc, Cayden, Cam, Kevin, and many other special friends from all parts of his life.

Stanley F. Makoski Sr., age 68, of McKeesport, formerly of Mt. Washington, passed away on Wednesday, July 10, 2019 at Jefferson Hospital. He retired as a mail carrier for the U.S. Postal Service on the North Side. As a child, he was on the safety patrol in elementary school, sang in the youth choir, and served as an altar boy. In his 20s, he took the Civil Service test and passed with a score of 93. Stanley delivered mail to Art Rooney, who often gifted him with a cigar or two. He loved the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Pirates and faithfully followed both teams on television. On March 22, he celebrated 15 years of sobriety and being smoke-free. He prided himself on living his life "one day at a time."

Judi A. Sandmeyer, of Warminster, died on Friday, June 21, 2019, at Abington Memorial Hospital. She was 70.
Daughter of the late Paul C. and Ellen Barber Sandmeyer, formerly of New Hope, where she spent her younger years, she was born in Chicago, Illinois and graduated from Elgin Academy, in Elgin, Illinois.
Judi was a resident of Warminster for the past 20 years and was employed at a pharmacy in Hatboro. Because of her talent and creativity, art became a hobby and she did free-lance designs.
Judi will be missed for her loving and creative ways. Also missing her and looking for her are her canine companions, Lali and Bennie.

William Donald Link, age 75, of McKeesport, died Wednesday, July 3, 2019. He was born in McKeesport on November 26, 1943 and is the son of the late Wilmer and Ruth Considine Link. He was employed as a taxi driver in Denver, Colorado for many years eventually retiring back in McKeesport. He enjoyed reading and trivia pursuit. He was very knowledgeable and knew the lyrics to many songs.

Thomas (Tommy) Joseph Mawritz, age 60, of Port Vue, PA formerly of Glassport, PA passed away on Saturday, June 29, 2019. Born on September 11, 1958 in McKeesport, PA he was the son of the late Joseph and Helen (Campayno) Mawritz.
Tommy was a graduate of South Allegheny High School. He was a pre-press manager at Comprint Inc in Gaithersburg, MD. After spending 19 years in the Washington, DC area, Tommy returned home. Soon he became involved in coaching youth football with the South Allegheny Youth Football Association. He loved coaching and was recognized with the Pittsburgh Steelers MVP Award for his commitment to the Association and the players despite his many health issues. In addition, the Tom Mawritz Extra Effort Award was created by the Association and is given each year to the player who never quits trying. Tommy was also an avid Pitt fan and will be missed by all who knew him.
Tommy was preceded in death by his beloved brother Dr. Kenneth J Mawritz Sr. He is survived by his sister Nancy (Mawritz) George and her husband Joseph of Germantown, MD; sister-in-law Natalie (Shadwick) Mawritz of Collegeville, PA; nephews Kenneth Mawritz Jr. and his wife Mary of Havertown, PA, Jason George of Rockville, MD, Brendan George of New York City, NY, niece Holly L. Mawritz and her husband Jonathan Goodroad of Glenside PA; and his five grandnephews and niece Logan, Liam, Lucas, Levi and Madeleine.
